picked up a set of genuine nissan roof racks for the d40 and am looking to get them fitted while in perth later this month, they're the type that need to be screwed into the roof and then the racks are mounted to those sections, i'm not too keen on drilling holes through the roof of my new car so looking for a shop to perform a quality job!

Cheers

Depends where you are located. Coastals4x4 did a good job on the small amount of work done on my Hilux so far.

perth4x4- balcatta
opposite lock- jandakot
ultimate4wd- canningvale
ARB- Armadale and welshpool

You getting auto lockers or air lockers fitted, both end or just one?

If its air lockers and both ends then $1500 to fit isnt a bad price considering the diff assembly has to be completly pulled apart to fit the locker. Even $1500 to fit 2 auto lokkas is not a completly out there price, less work than an air locker but still a bit of work.

If its $1500 to fit one auto lokka then yeah they are pullin the piss.

S and G gearbox and diff in Cannington. Auto locker in my old Hilux cost me $550 to get it installed but its not that hard to do it yourself.

If you go to a 4x4 shop you gonna get raped cause its a 4x4 shop avoid them so they can feel free to go munch on some cock.

If they are charging $1500 for any locker to be installed into your diff they are taking the piss hard. $1500 can get you a brand new fully built centre with a set of aftermarket gears, A diff locker and a solid diff spacer, all that's left is postage.

To have that sort of set up from a local 4x4 shop would be about 3k per diff!

Cheers for the replies!

For front and rear auto lockers.

I rang s&g they were $1200, wadiff $1100, ultimate4wd $1120 and then found a place from perth 4x4 in Bentley called carvel transmissions and they said $880, I'm thinking that carvels don't really know what there in for as I've read it's a shit job for the front!

Only reason I got the front aswell was coz it was either $300 for rear or $500 for both, brand new.

yeah, got it done by opposite lock in wangara for $185, quotes from nissan dealers ranged from 380 to 520... just for fitting, not even supplying, was hilarious getting quotes.
