Commonwealth Bank Issue

Greetings,

About a week or so ago I approached Commonwealth Bank for a Re-Negotiation of my loan that I currently hold to cover some of the car that I am currently purchasing. The branch that was closest to me was the Morley Branch, they helped go through the rigmarol of getting the ball rolling, and all of the pay slips and information required was given to themon the following Monday (saw them on the weekend).

Since that date I have made a total of 137 phone calls to the Morley branch where they have answered 10 of them, I have also left a total of 38 messages for them to call me back as to how this is going. This doesnt include the phone calls to the 13 2221 number to try and get through that way.

The latest news is that the Morley Branch today I called and called and called and to no avail. The last time I called the person (whoever it was) answered the phone and said "For F&^% sake " and hung up. Needless to say I was Horrified that such a reputable company could speak to their customers like that especially seeing as though they are "campaigning how convenient and helpful our staff are". I called the hot line straight away to talk to the regional manager of Commonwelath, which again, still waiting for a phone call back.

Now Im writing this because I am going to make it a point to Commonwealth that you do not treat valuable customers in this day and age, who have so many avenues of free media available to them. This will be going on anything I can get my hands on because it is rediculous that a company can treat people like this. I am absolutely livid.

4 days ago = Thursday? 48 hours would have been COB Friday at the earliest, in which case nothing generally happens with banks, as is also the case with weekends.

4 days ago, not including weekends, either problem solved now. Was pissed at the time. Regional Manager is champ and sorted it.

That might be your expectation but end of the day they have their processes that they have to go through. I had to wait 4-5 days for my personal loan. If I was working in that bank and some pingpingpingping called me 137 times and left 38 messages I would find some stupid reason to deny the pricks loan and transfer the talking clock to their phone 137 times.

Re-financed a new loan with my existing one through the Morley branch, had no issues. Did everything in person, have no other debt so it was all straightforward. Not knowing your circumstances, but if you have other loans or something on your history it can hold it up too.

Never had an issue with CBA personally, have re-negotiated term deposits, loans, etc with them, usually in person and it gets done. They usually get back to me before I remember to and if not, a quick email to the manager gets things sorted, they love taking my money...

While the amount of calls is indeed excessive, and down right stalkerish, I do know that even though Commonwealth advertise short turn around times it's not always the case. Two days to fund loan can easily be a week and sometimes more which can throw a spanner in things like if you're buying a car as he said. No one wants to wait for things like that.

Not saying I'd of gone that psycho murderer over it as he did, though.

A few years ago, I banked with them, and sold a small farm - I owned it outright, but hadnt ever discharged the mortgage on the title deeds - CBA pingpingpingpings actually refused to hand over title deeds to new owner.
this fuckaround took 3 weeks to sort out, where as it could have been easily resolved.

Then the bunch of pingpingpingpings decided to pull my overdraft facility from my business(300k) whichh I needed to keep business running
They were quite happy to see me try to trade as insolvent.

Walked across the road to Westpac, borrowed 2 large and told CBA to jam the whole lot up their smelly arse!!

I happy admit i didnt have the titles discharges(if they were good, they could have suggested it once the mortgage was paid off) - we attempted to have this rectified, but they were wankers and didnt want to discharge them

Its a simple process that only takes a couple of days to do BUT the dickhead tried to play games with me.

There was no need for it as we were a good customer for them, and had never given them any grief

This can take weeks to do, most banks will not notify you once you pay off the loan, this is something one must be mindful of when paying out!
I have seen this blow out to 6 weeks due to archives as the loan was payed out nearly 10 years prior to property being sold!
