Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Was expecting a humorous story about an epic splash back while you were taking a shit.. I am disappoint :(
But since I am here, my folks are getting their kitchen done and they got their bench tops installed today and the splash back is going on soon. The bench top is perfect and installed well.
Was done by Ultimate Marble and Granite.

I use to do splashbacks, my mate is still in the industry.
I can get him to contact you ?
They use to be around $400-480sqm depending on the colour ( metallic or not ) and all cutouts are $55 each (which is charged a cost price cos they charge and arm and a leg to cut the power point holes etc)

Nik, were you going for a full 'bench length' splash back? Or just a 'cooktop splashback'?
If it's the latter, I have a RED splashback in storage, recent living arrangement changes have cancelled the kitchen Reno in the house.
PM if you are interested. Cheers

We used Perth City Glass for our splash back. End result is nice but took them 4 goes to measure it and install it. Apparently they used to care but now couldnt give a shit. $500 / sqm os about the going rate for a metallic.

also some kitchen designs are better where the framework goes in and then you can throw the splashback on before the rest of the panelling leaving you with no gap at all between your cupboards and splashback. Other than that there will always be a few mm gap between the two which would normally be glazed off with a clear/white/black silicon to finish it off depending on the glass chosen

Coming from experience in the stone industry,
this is the worst thing to do as debris and oil residue build up hardcore and cause all kinds of issues.
Silicone is barely noticeable if a good enough job is done.
Just like wet areas, bathrooms etc, do it once do it right SEAL IT!

Got mine from Direct Glass in balcatta.
They are suppliers so they beat most people
Got mine from Direct Glass as well, beat other quotes I had by a fair margin.

I wouldn't recommend you get a glass splash back, a bitch to keep clean.
Go stone/granite if you can. Expensive, but much better.
The Sink Warehouse in Osb Park do them.
