Due to an influx of internal interest, they have now closed this for internal recruiting only. However, due to the influx of interest from external sources as well they are now opening up:
Fabrication Apprenticeships
Mechanical Apprenticeships
Electrical Apprenticeships

Scaffolding Traineeships
Rigging Traineeships
Mobile crane Traineeships

All of these will be available in the new year and according to the email, they will be looking for 12 of each. This is a good opportunity for anyone that wants to get onto the gorgon project and make some decent cash while theyre learning. The new year is still 6 months away but i think this is something worth keeping your eye on if youre interested in doing something along these lines. Especially if youre looking for a new career path in the near future but not right now.

Ill keep this thread up to date as they may decide to open some of these opportunities alot earlier.

Any clue on the going rate for a mature aged sparky apprentice? Whilst I completely understand that an apprenticeship is a short term loss, long term gain deal, it's good to know :)

mature age is normally 75% of a tradies wage

I wouldn't bother,CB&I offered 12 positions for BMW apprenticeship,about 30 guys working on
Barrow applyed, only pingpingpingpings in purple circle got in.
