Hi all,

Got a 32R i have put a box in, however the gearbox thats been supplied to me has a couple of differences. The only problem one being that the shifter on this new gearbox, needs to be about 20mm longer from the base of the ball to the bush that sits into the selector mechanisim. Or in a different way, the selector mechanisim is deeper inside the box and requires a longer shifter to reach it.

Can anyone identify this shifter that i need, or better yet know the shifter im talking about and can sell one to me?

If it helps, this gearbox also has clutch vents on the top of the bellhousing (which the old one didnt) , and the transfer filler is in a different location to the gearbox i removed.

Regards

Josh

Are you sure the new box doesn't have a small aluminium insert spacer where the shifter goes in?

They put them in when they use short shifters and are pretty hard to spot unless you look for them

I cant help but any chance the old gearbox is from a r32 gts4? because it sounds like the shifter change is similar to the difference between rb20 and rb25 shifters.

Has the transfer been off? Sounds like the part the shifter locates in is upside down.

This is what we were thinking, i just dont know if a gts4 shifter is longer as i have nothing to compare it to.

Doesnt appear to have been off rob, no telltale signs anyway.

GTS-4 and GTS-t shifters are exactly the same apart from the bush size.

But GTS-4 : GTR shifters are different.
