So this is a story all about how..

my lada is fucked. Went to go for a 4by lastnight and decided to do a routine timing chain adjust as it was starting to make a small rattle, undid the 13ml bolt on the side of the block, tapped it with a hammer and used the crank handle to turn the motor over 2 full revolutions.

this is the standard procedure for it and ive done it 100 times before, problem is when I started it my motor now has a fucking horid terminal sounding rattle, took the rocker cover off to check the chain out and everything is fine, its got good tension and the guides are all in place and doing their job.

if someone is able to come and have a look and give me an idea of whats gone horribly wrong ill pay cash, located in ocean reef.

P.S,

im 99.9% sure the motor did not skip backwards at all, as I know this can in some cases cause the timing chain to skip a tooth.
