All Motorcycle riders need a recognised riding jacket with appropriate protection inserts, or leather riding jacket, long pants ankle length boots full leather motorcycle riding gloves as minimum or preferably full bike riding leathers.

All drivers and riders must hold or have held a civil drivers licence.

Notes on Helmets...
If your helmet is over 12 years old then it is probably not acceptable for use on the Drag Strip. Look for the following markings to check if your helmet is ok to use for racing. Sometimes the label is under the padding inside the helmet.

Full or Open Face Helmets bearing any of these standards are acceptable;

Yes, but I can't remember what it is. A mate has a lifted Hilux and his is too high.
Maybe give them a call if you can't find the info on their website..?

H1GHROLLR, Height for crank bolt to floor must be under 600mm, Its in the andra rule book and that info came straight from Ray Treasure, this rule has only been around for a few years. Just another reason australia sucks but in the usa you can have 11 sec f trucks no problem. But it means I'm out unless I start running 27's and even then I'm not sure I'll be under.

Yeah sad to see the Falcon smash, but EL's are cheap new shell for thousand bucks and she's all good, the white EL was a sleeper,looked grandad as fuck, ran a 10 flat!
Tyson's first run of 17 was gold, but good to see him do a good time in the end, I'll let him boast :) Riggs bike gos hard as fuck too :)
The 34 did a 13.4, not bad for ghetto safc tune and slop box auto, goes in for Nistune next week, hopefully before wednesday :)

I had a awesome night, ran a new PB of 11.85 in the EL Fairmont, i cringed when i saw the dentists car have another round with the wall

After my initial run of 17.46 at and the 115 mph, I realized that my 6 second 60 foot time could do with some improvement.

Then Went 11.59

Then on the third run went 11.4 at 116 mph with a 1.8 60 foot.

Didn't set any better from there, tried a few different things off the line but pretty damn happy over all!

I was nervous as fuck as I lined up been watchin to many bike drag fails on YouTube this week. First run pulled a dismal 12.4@168 reaction and 60ft times were shocking. Next run went harder of the line and got an 11.7@176 still with shocking reaction and 60ft. There is a shit load more in the bike if I can just get a good launch.
Ended up getting speeding fine on way home, wasn't payin attention and cruised past cops doin 105 in a 80 zone.

First time I've taken anything down the strip so didn't know what to expect.

10.90 @ 141.5, 60' - 2.16

Was launching very softly, need to use rear tyre on Sat and didn't want to kill the clutch. Left it in full track setup, with grabby clutch and stiff as fuck suspension it was a bitch to get rolling.

Thanks to Tyson for running around with my stand and mega, mega thanks to the sexy man Tristan for the use of his bicycle tail light! Rocked up to the scrutineer and he said I needed a red light on the rear, oops. Bit of drama and rushing around but we got there!

Still, had a ball!

That EL has either kissed the wall or come very close at it's last 3 outings. I know Rod's been around in that thing for a long time, so he should know that running a car with suspension/steering/leaking issues isn't a good idea, especially with 850hp. Hopefully not the end of his racing career as i also love that car!!

+1. That's LS1 tune only trap speed... Did it run the same trap speed each run or was there a fairly large variance? If same, bike problem. If large variance, rider problem.

If he had of pulled the chute I think he may have saved it. But I can't remember ever seeing the chute pulled on it.

Couldn't be mph unless you have a T51r strapped to the side of it. That's 7sec territory trap speed!

r1 should do 125-140mph (200 -225kph) depending on how good you are.

either way straight off the street... not strapped etc... no practice is good time imo... very diff on strip trying to launch

Usual bolts ons and safc/sitc ghetto tuned by ear :P And slop box auto
Wanted base sorta run before Nistune next week.

It's something that lives inside the front left wheel, like inside of the tyre, used to it now, wasn't till removed the wheel one day and bounced it that I heard it, figured I'll sort it one day, LOL

You said first time at the drags and not had the bike long yeah?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, in time speed sensation will fall and confidence will increase and you get used to lifting the front wheel. Jumping on any thou is a big leap from a 250.
