Evo 8 broken into

Hey guys,

Last night at 11pm, Rockingham foreshore my 2004 Evo 8 front passanger window got broken into. They took = my girlfriends things including iphone 4, channel purse, her car keys & her work keys.They also broke into a mates VY SV8 and a Mazda 3. I know it's very very unlikely that anyone hears anything about it and I'm glad the basturd didnt take the car but on the off chance If anyone hears something please let me know. Also if anyone knows where a wrecked evo 8/9 is ( not the yellow one in the hills) that i could get a front window off that would be a big help.

Sorry to hear however leaving valuables in vehicles in this day and age should be unheard of and common knowledge. Especially at that hour!

As I also have an EVO 8 MR, curious to know if standard Lancer glass is the same for the front?

Had my front window knocked in earlier in the year with a heap of stuff taken from it. Sad as it is, you just can't leave shit in the car. Cops won't do jack shit either as you've probably already realized. Just go and find a new handbag for the Mrs, put a tiger snake in it and leave it in the car overnight again.

the list of stuff stolen is a bit of a weird combo to be left in a car.. I phone, car keys. did she lock her keys in the car with all her stuff? People cling to their phones normally like its their next breath of Air.

I dont lock my car. and drivers window is usually down when parked at shops in Kwinana/Rockingham. Even still. i have had a window smashed but i think that was because i had an aussie flag flying.

last time i had a car locked.. they busted lock with screwdriver.. and stole my ashtray of cash.. 80cents.. and took the ashtray with cost me $15 to replace.

Its easier not to lock it.. once they look inside and find nothing. they will leave it alone. and it doesnt end up with a smashed window or damaged lock

hmmm Rockingham being the key word in this thread , fuckin crackheads trying to pay for the weekend they just ticked up , i was at spices on ocean with the missis and seen 2 sketchers walking down the strip looking in cars the other week , on another note man many of the shops along there have cameras as well as rockingham council maybe try your luck with them ?

Well, it has been for me for the last 13 years.... Can't say the same for several NOR suburbs I've lived or worked in.
