Last night my clutch decided it didn't want to play any more. Lost 95% of clutch pressure, is pretty much an on/off switch now.
When I put it in 5th at 40 and plant my foot, it doesn't slip, but when I give it some herbs changing to second it slips instead of its normal back end stepping out antics.
I'm confused as to what I have done. Fluid is full so it's not a cylinder leak.
It's an rb25/gt35r 400hp combo, 5 speed R33 box, and was told it's a heavy duty clutch of some sort.
Any thoughts/ideas. Also, any recommendations on new clutches, leaning towards a twinplate atm

It's fucked,no if's or buts.
Get a twin plate, anything that will reliably hold that power in single form for any period of time with be a pingpingpingping to drive compared to a twin.

As above, sounds like your clutch plate is fried.
Single plate will barely hold that power, hence why it is a good idea to look towards a twin plate.
ORC/OS GIKEN/EXEDY/Nismo not in any order. Most of them are rated at around 600hp.

Yeh figured it was rooted.
Distrbd will be looking for a quote later this year, this has just fast tracked my project. Chucking the vls bolt ons onto a 25/30 and putting that in my Volvo. Will either get a Jim berry or a twinplate.

Personally I would recommend a Nismo Coppermix twin plate, have had mine for 4 years or more running about the same power than you, but in a GTR... hasn't missed a beat and is easy to drive.
