Asked the old man, FIFO 1st engineer, he reckons they all do the trick - make sure you take them the night before, good to go :)
Dont drink milk or any dairy type drink before you go or during.
Drink ginger beer, take a few with you.
Quells are good
Also buy the pressure point bandages from the chemist.. you put them around your wrist and they put pressure on your pressure point.
All these above helped me immensely from motion sickness.

plug one ear with a good ear plug. worked for me :)
3 quells sent me to sleep for 5 hours. They work - you wont get sea sick but you may not be conscious for the day.

Ginger tablets - pretty much everything else just gives you what other people that don't get seasick have - mind over matter.
If you think you're going to get sick, you probably will.

all good ideas in my professional opinion. dont take the night before... take 30-45 mins before you hop on the boat. and make sure you repeat the dose 4-6 hours later as once it has worn off its too late
also...

^^^ Use this advice
I always use quells even though i dont usually get sea sick i dont like to take the chance, try not to drink the night before though!
Also if you are going to drink the night before have 2 quells before bed with lots of water, then 2 as you wake...

If you start feeling sick also, keep your eyesight up and looking at the horizon or lie down in the centre of the boat and sleep it off.
Whilst the winds are from the SE and relatively light, there is still a 2.5m+ swell running so the boat will be pitching and rolling, especially bottom bouncing.
On the trip over try to stay towards the rear of the boat, out of diesel fumes but in fresh air.
Make sure you drink plenty of water the day/night before and keep hydrated while you are out there. Try not to drink too much sugar or booze. Ginger beer is a good help if you start to feel sick, if you can't get rid of it make yourself puke.... you will feel a lot better and won't have to put up with that queasy feeling for hours...... I've puked 2LTs of cheap OJ before and burst a blood vessel in my eye, I thought I was going to die the OJ burnt that much coming up.

If you go for ginger beer, make surer the one you have actually contains ginger. AFAIK bundaberg is the only one that does. The rest of them are artificially flavoured and wont do shit except as a placebo

Like there's another choice?

I used to get sea sick all the time, tryed quells with no luck.
Best tabs have to be travelcalm original in the blue packet. Havnt been sea sick since. Must admit they make you feel a touch scatterd and dry mouth and pretty tired but thats so much better then being sick as.
One other trick is to nibble on something like dry biscuts, bbq shapes and power aid drinks during the day.
One thing to avoid is looking down at things to much like making rigs up, keep you eye on the horizon if you start to feel funny and never retreat to lay down or shut your eyes, it all over once that happens.
I now have my sea legs and dont need them thank god

Another vote for Travacalm (The proper harsh ones, natural ginger ones don't work for me).
They will knock you on your ass though. When I was co driving in Targa West a few years ago I took the maximum dose for 3 days.. Wasn't a huge amount of fun.
I'd go so far as to suggest that you don't drive if you've been taking them.
Also like everyone else has said, stay in fresh air and keep an eye on the shore.
