Hi gang,

Was just wondering if anybody had hook ups at the Cottesloe Council?

I've been wanting to host an event in their gardens on Broome Street for years but being Cottesloe there's a lot of red tape with my application having to pass through the members on the board at their monthly meetings and I was told off the bat by their events coordinator that she doesn't like my chances...

Any advice/connections would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Josh

Are you talking about the Cottesloe Civic Centre - where the sunken gardens and shit is?

If so, it shouldn't be difficult at all. My sister had her wedding there, and although different type of event, they were VERY relaxed.

I'd get in touch with a wedding planner personally. They'd have the best contact. Just pretend it's a wedding....seriously.

If it looks like a standard wedding set-up, the board won't give it a second thought.

Yes that's where I'm thinking. Just the top lawn behind the building.

That isn't a bad idea at all...! Will give it a shot in a couple of months, thanks very much

We had photos for our wedding there Josh - I think it cost $25 back in 1999.
