Hey Fellas,

After i sold the rx7, i went about a month or so without a car, went through everything from s14s to legacy wagons. I finally decided on this MY99 WRX.

I bought it with a 3 inch catback system and a dodgy old man spec muffler... Second day i had it i slapped on a brand new stainless XFORCE muffler, HKS mushroom filter, turboxs blow off valve and a APEXI RSM for a bit of wank ;) Im enjoying it a heap, huge difference between these and the rx7, and so far ive been very impressed at its abillity to hose people with more power and RWD ;)

Next on the cards is a dumpipe and some cooler piping to go with the 100mm cooler i got.

Otherwise, looks tidy dude, congrats on the new purchase. You must be loving the late model action, getting away from the 89 SHTR :)

Hard to believe but its true, possibly has a high flow ;)

Pre-01 models are faster than 01 and onwards.

No one would bother with high flow of TD04.

My mum had a 98 model which came with a 99 engine and brakes. That thing ****en flew. (ran door to door with my old torry when it ran a 13.72). I was told the 98`s were the quickest stockers cos the weighed the least. 98 was around 1340 i think and 99`s were 1440 from memory

Hey. Awesome car man!! If I were looking for a WRX, this is definately the model I would buy looks-wise. I still think these model WRX's look the best, no matter how many more different spoiler kitted/headlight changed models they decide to bring out. Don't know about the rest of you, but when I think WRX, this is the model that pops into my head. Destined to be a classic. In years to come, I reckon these WRX's will be looked upon like the old Falcon GT's/Monaro's are today. Good choice!!

WRCjosh
22-08-2005, 06:17 PM
i was at drivers house all day on sunday, springs may have been chopped, they may or may not have been mine, due to the fact my plates in the pic, id say they definatly HAVENT been chopped coz thats just dangerous and illegal, but u can make an educated decision for yourselves ;)

I guess thats why we drive WRX's, and you drive a shopping trolley Corolla - to go to the shops

And Jimmy I think Josh's has been lowered more than yours, just your kit hangs low. But he cheated. :flipa:

Ridiculous? i think my comment was fair, i have problems with my car and speed humps, and my car is no where as a low as urs, ok my struts are ****ed, but still there is alot more to scrape on a rex than ther is on a rolla, and id b much more afraid to scrape a rex than a 'shopping trolley' rolla.

No doubt Paul... I was just standing up for the NOR boys!!! Mine isnt that low... when i get some correct offset rims... then ill try and lower it a little more... but as you rightly point out... my kit makes it hang reeel low... so makes it a little more difficult to get away with!!! :werd:
