ELEVEN people, aged 17 to 40 years, have had their vehicles seized and will face reckless driving charges after a hoon crackdown on a Perth car club.

The charges follow a recent club meet were car enthusiasts were video taped driving wildly in front of a crowd of about 300.

Police visited the homes of drivers at about 4am today to lay the charges.

Police will allege several people were recorded on video recently driving in a reckless manner in front of a crowd of about 300 people.

Police are also investigating damage to a private property in the area totalling about $300,000.

One suffered a broken leg at a previous club gathering, in Neerabup north of Perth, when an out of control car slammed into spectators.

Nine of the eleven people charged this morning are teenagers, including two 17-year-olds.

The eldest person charged is a 40-year-old man from Byford.

They will all appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on March 12.

Police said they expect to lay further charges.
