Hi guys

Did abit of a search here in regards to transport companies but all the posts were quite a few years old

I need to transport a vehicle from Canberra (Kambah) to Perth.
Had a 'friend' that was meant to organise a 'backload' onto a truck but that fell through
I was wondering if someone can suggest a company or a private 'contractor' that does cashies?! :)

I've tried the following companies but the best i got was around $1200 (Door to Depo)

Openica logistics $1,710
Trade car transport $1,245.00
Auto Logistics $1,178
National car transport $1,214.18
Ceva $2,006.11
Toll (AutoTrans) $1,211
Moving cars $1,227.18
Patricks $1,694
Car carrying $1,308
Australian car carriers $1,214.18
Car transport $1,642.30
Move my car $1,224.18
Linfox (FCL Transport) Rail $2,215
Insterstate car transport $1,946.19
Car runners $1,850

All of the above are door to depo
I've also tried the following but they don't do cars or don't do the route to Perth

Regal Transport - Don't do interstate
Centurion - Don't do interstate
Dean Wilson Transport - Only In Broome
RGR Haulage - Only WA
Time transport - Don't do ACT (Sydney only)
Kings Transport - Don't do cars
Align car - Don't go to WA
WA Freightlines - Only from WA to East
Mainfreight - Don't do vehicles
RGR Haulage - Don't travel from ACT
JNK Transport - Don't have anything currently coming back

Anyone have any experience with any of the above....good or bad?

(If you don't want to post, or know someone willing to do it for cash please send me a PM or give me a call on 0401 043 355)

Thanks in advance

Try Finemores. I'll try dig up the other one I looked at when transporting. Average price for a car is $1300-$1600 though I think from east coast to here?

I usually use ceva to move the rally car around. There is no such thing as a backload from the east coast to perth. Plenty going the other way though.

Those quotes sound about right. Ceva quoted me $2k return depot to depot (melbourne) for the car next month.

Have used Ceva and Auto Logistics with no issues.

I used Auto trans and they were a disgrace. Played with the EBC, drove an extra 2 kays and marked and dented the car. Steer clear!

Out of WA is backload not the reverse.Spot on. I booked with CEVA today from Sydney to Perth and there is a 5 working day delay on top of the 8 normal days. First time I have used them and so far so good. Very good to deal with. I will wait till the car arrives to tell.....

Thanks for the info guys
A few people have mentioned CEVA but they are overly expensive (the car im transporting is worth about $6K so it's not a Ferrari)
Will decide on Monday which company to go with but National Car Transport and Trade a Car Transport seem to be the cheapest

I'd avoid any cashies mate.
Damage to cars in transit is a frequent occurence, and there's no recourse if you've done a cashie (and the vehicle is damaged).

How is paying cash going to leave you high and dry? He has to be given a receipt AND a damage report which they do prior and post delivery of the car. As long as he doesn't come back after a prolonged period of time he can take action on any damage caused during transit.

Ahhh what?
I'm not talking about the choice of payment.
I mean if it's a cashie job (i.e. mate of a mate) that doesn't run through the books.

Used Ceva 4-5 times and never a problem. Mate used auto trans they fucked around with the car. Would avoid at all costs.

recently i went through this,
it fucking sux
australian transport companies dont give a fuck about anyone and take their time and bullshit you the whole time, no matter who you choose.

CEVA should be able to do it for under $1k .
Seeing as my "non-running" (required more effort when putting into D on the auto to keep it running) cost $1600 to get here
classified as a non-runner.
they told me several times if its a runner, 800ish on a good day would be the price.
also note that if you call back later in the arvo's to CEVa you will get a different person , and most likely a different price.
just dont sound like a fucking pleb when you call or they will charge you an triple anal fist and a half to get your shitbox here (pun intended.)

I've used National Car Transport a few times now without a problem... definitely recommend them.
