hey
my rears CVs are fucked and need replacing..
ive had a look around and it seems cheaper to buy the entire axle setups with the CVs already attached

anyone know a good place to source these from? or if anyone knows IF it is cheaper to have them rebiult and pricing ?

cheers.

Yeh gathered that..
But have had same setup before in higher powered car and no issues so dunno.

In other news who knows of a good holden wrecker who isn't on the pipe while coming up with prices

apparently the early ones, ie vt v6 ones are shorter and wont really suit a lowered car well. what dramas are you having? i only ever broke one and that was on the strip.

Had both side cvs fuk out at the exact same time..
Abit odd for exactly same time.. Maybe just had enough

Mark mines like rim level with guard if if not maybe 10mm of rim in guard. Very low..

You need the shorter ones for a lowered car if you run the longer ones it can push the axels on the diff to far in and they can cause the carrier brg adjusters to wind in and out and destroy your diff. Allan's cv joints can supply HD drive shafts

Buy genuine ones only, unless you are buying big dollar ones. Repco, etc will snap again in no time. Genuine ones from a wrecker out of a V6 as many others have said are the most cost effective way to go.
