Thinking about booking a holiday house somewhere down south for a weekend. Has anyone done this before, have any suggestions, good places, shit places to avoid, actual houses that you have stayed at etc. I havent been down south for ages so I dont even know where to start looking. Im not looking for an apartment or anything in a complex with other apartments right next to you. Looking for a large stand alone house suitable for a group of people (8+) to stay. Prefer close to the beach, pool or spa would be nice but not essential.

Cheers

Stayed here earlier this year, the houses are gorgeous (we had number 2 and 3 for a big group of motorbikers). You're right on the beach and a short drive out of the main town area so it is peaceful, too.

Www.privateprop.com have some great places too at reasonable rates. Have stayed at "fourwells" would definitely recommend.
