Anyone know any one who does the office style temporary wall partitioning?
Basically my house has a huge living room that's pretty much open with the dining and kitchen area. i want to put up a dividing wall with a door that is half wall/half glass. or fold up doors etc
for example at work our training and board rooms can be closed off or opened up into 1 large area.

PM Darkside, Blaise should be able to sort you out - he has a fitout company.

^^^ Cheers for the plug. :) Fold up wall, (ie operable wall) are spendy. Installing one currently thats about 6 metres long at a cost of about 8k plus some structural support ballache in the ceiling.
If you are happy with something slightly more permanent studwork/gyprock/glazing is the easy way to sort it and has the flexibility to build exactly what you want as far as length, height, amount of glass etc etc. and you can generally do a pretty good job of integrating it with your existing surroundings so it doesnt look tacked on. Can also be removed pretty easily if you change plans at a later date. A real rough thumbsuck would be about $400-500 a lineal metre.
Hope that helps.

building a timber frame wall, and lining it with gyprock would be a inexpensive semi-permanent way to partition the room.
i can do the timber framing for you, and i know plenty of gyprock plasterers, if you choose to go down that path.
