When my mum was at Tafe doin her photography thing she went along with a few of the girls from her class and done this. Basically a company or school or what ever would hire this group of fake paparazzi for their party/ball and they would rock up wearing the old 50's style press gear and as the people would turn up they would be there with there camears just clicking the flash and calling out for the part goers attention. Mum had a laugh and got paid for it.
