Well its finally happend. In the last year i have stepped on a tigersnake, last week in kalbarri i just about stepped on a whip snake while cutting through the dunes at whittacarra creek . Each time while wearing shorts and thongs.

Last night at bells rapids lookout i hopped out the car and was walking about 5 meters from the car on the gravel next to the road. I wasnt watchn where i was walking and stepped on this snake, it bit my shin. I jumped back in massive shock and realised it was only a stimmy python. THANK GOD!!!!!!

Got a nice couple bite mark on my leg. SOOOOO lucky it wasnt a tiger, dugite or a death adder which are all found there. Took these shots strait after of it mega pissed off. Lovley markings on it and a really health specimen.

Time to buy some decent boots me thinks....

Wow, lucky mate. Step on a Tiger up there and you're pretty much cactus...

I'm busy doing snake control at my place, but having chooks makes it harder.

Your grass has nothing on my neighbours front/back yard. Literally a fire hazard, and with all the recent fires, we've had to make a note of it to appropriate parties, with no reply. Shit's fucking dangerous.

Mine isn't that bad, I had a 12' swimming pool set up next to that little long patch over xmas so I'm trying to get that to grow back a little, though now I've been told to take it all back to zilch and bomb it with feeder.

Mow it down a lot, then chuck some Water Wetter on it and some fertiliser couldnt hurt. As long as water is still being absorbed and not pooling, than you wont have to air the grass out. Do this and you should have some green grass in a couple of weeks.

Took this thread off topic, sorry.

Lol, all the recent fires are man made.

If it werent our desert and bush land out of the city would be a fkn inferno.

Reminds of a ACA listener post.
