Some of the highlights so far..
Apparently the night time hoons are very well organized with trailers full of wheels to change when they have blowouts and also one or two old hoon cars for them to all drive to save their own ‘good’ cars. They organize their venues via the internet and have methods of finding out when the police are coming so it’s hard for the police to catch them.
From my research so far, they are plenty of posts on various forums by hoons asking for advice about good locations for drifting and hoons responding with the advice, but it's been on an individual basis. I'm looking to find information about the more organised groups so I can get into position (I have access to properties where I can film their activities covertly with a long lens).
With the assistance of @QPSMedia, the police are taking an interest. They're planning to use a combination of plain clothes police on civilian looking motorcycles, new laser speed cameras and traps at both ends to catch them, but I suspect any arrests will only have a short term impact on the hooning activities.
Perhaps the police should use radio jammers as well, but that might be a giveaway. :)
I'm interested in tracking down any websites and/or online forums where the meetings and venues are organised – not much coming up when I do a Google search, but I might not be using the right key words.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Yes, that's what I thought. Now, how to get an invite, there must be a way...
Seems ripe for a hacking!
