Garrett last year anounced new small frame GTX terbs to replace the GT28 frame units which quite frankly are getting a bit long in the tooth:

These were released in the USA this week and I have a pair of these bad boys (GTX2863R) on the way to me as we speak.
Now, a few of you know of my unhealthy obsession with keeping low mount terbs and as Garrett USA didn't design these for twins on an RB engine, so I expect there to be some headaches.
I'll swap over my existing turbine housings (the come without housings), so exhaust fittment should be OK. There will be some cut and shut work on my HKS hard pipe induction kit required as the GTX terbs use straight hose connections in and out of the compressor housing rather than the bolted flanges. I have ordered the new adjustable actuator brackets along with the new Garrett 22psi actuators.
I also need to upgrade my injectors yet again as the HKS 1000cc units are maxing out with E85. Time for some ID 2000 units along with a shiny new 14mm Billet fuel rail.
I hope to have Xspeed start on the job late next week with hopefully a comparison graph available the following week.
With a bit of luck there will be enough of a straight line difference between me and that pr1ck in the green R32 to shut him up once and for all ;)
Watch this space.
