In an effort to prevent the weird 'slow lap glitch' from last week we'll be using the standard model Dodge Viper GTS '99 currently available in the OCD. This car cannot be painted but wheels can be changed. All other mods prohibited.
Track selection will be done randomly. However, should SSR7 be selected a new random track will be chosen.

Stupid questions but how is it going to prevent the slow lap glitch? Have we worked out what went wrong?
Keen for SSR7 later on in the night, that track is funny as fuck... Nascars :)

Logitech G25
Logitech G27. We can also try getting everyone back in the pits before race start, as that help a lots for non-laggy starts - may well influence the timing thing.
Had fun last night with the shuffle races, especially Laguna & Suzuka
Approaching 130R, last lap. This was only ever going to end one way.....

Yeah shuffling on Suzuka and Leguna were really good!
I think I overtook all 4 cars in that picture :)
Did everyone get disconnected at like 12.15, I was about to overtake vy for the race lead and got dropped :(

G25.
'4pot', I've got that same pic I took myself. I'll throw a few up if I get them off the PS3 tonight..
I liked the shuffle races too. I was stick with a Vyper for 9/10 shuffle races (when it was on offer) which was shite, but hey it was a challenge to drive and that made it fun!

4pot had 130R down pat in that NSX... I think he would have been carrying 30km/hr faster than me through there

i was laughing my ass off when stu tried to take me out in suzuka and i got him instead. R35 would pull hard every where.
last few races were bloody good too.

Shuffle races were awesome.
Most fun I've had in weeks TBH. Really fun racing all night as none of it was taken too seriously!
One race at Suzuka I had MGR and VYSS either side of me and next thing you know massive carnage and we were all in the wall. Haven't laughed so hard in ages.

Keen on next race night! Sounds like you guys had fun!

Initially I was pretty happy with the GTR I was dealt in that particular shuffle race cause I just assumed it was an R34 based on the fact Alex was already circulating the track in one. Was most disappoint when I realised I was lumped with an R33.
- How do we improve on the R32? Lets make it heavier, fatter and but give it the same power.
- But now it understeers so much? I know, lets fit forklift steering (AKA super hicas)
- Why the fuck is this thing such a dog in a straight line? Oh that's right. Drag co-efficient of a caravan.
- I'm gonna light-weight this GTR and rip all the sound deadening out. Then I'll kick all yo' asses!
etc
To be honest I don't mind getting dealt the odd dud car. Never had to fight so hard for a third place. The R35 in the 500pp races is a god damn cheatmobile though. Need an LFA to get close.
This is some bits of one of the Suzuka shuffle races. Highlights (or should I say lowlights) reel.
TRROOLOLOLOOLOLLLOOOLLL!!! @ SV304's start line effort.

Haha. Love the start...
In my defence, at the 1:45 mark you can see (if you pause at the right moment) that Brockas jumped on the brakes earlier than I anticipated and I had to take avoiding action. I think I did ok to avoid him initially but unfortunately it didn't pan out the right way...
This one was fairly clean until 130R on the last lap.

Sorry for the late post, I(bogandave) was using dual shock.
Good times as usual, I think not drinking though had a negative effect. Will be aiming for a beer injection of improvement this week.

I did some research on the weekend with someone on the effects of alcohol on GT5 lap times. It was fairly controlled as it's for a magazine article.
Guess what? The times improved the more we drank... right up till the girls came in with multiple vodka shots. Don't remember anything after that to be honest. Woke up in someone else's bed too!
So drink up boys...

Did anybody save the replay of the Viper race on Grand Valley Speedway reverse?
If so can I have a copy?
Specially interested in the Dual Shock user replays (vyssute, SV304, BoganDave) and a couple of Logitech user replays.
Cheers
I saved it, no idea how to get a copy to you?

Jazza and I would believe that.
We often drink and play some simulator, and we play our best about 4 drinks in. After that it turns to shit though.

I think sport in general improves a little with a few drinks... Gives you that extra courage and commitment without taking away too much reaction time!
Edit: Will be playing with some American Honey on the rocks to test this theory out this week!
COOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN 1st place

One of my favs. Will do the same!
I saved it, no idea how to get a copy to you?
Go to your list of replays hit the triangle button on the appropriate replay file.
This will pop-up a sub menu - Select Export Replay
This will copy the data to your PS3's XMB. You can find it in the 'Saved Game' data folder on the XMB.
From there you can copy it to a USB thumb drive (once again hit triangle to bring up the sub menu).
The only issue is it'll probably be around 22mb for that particular race so emailing may not be an option.
However when I've need to send large files via email in the past I've used www.yousendit.com
Basically you upload the file to a server and email a link to the other person so they can download the file for the server.
If you can do that then let me know and I'll PM' you my email address.
Really would like to get a copy of the replay data from either vyssute, SV304 or BoganDave.
Cheers
