Hi
I got a iphone4s with telstra recently (1 month ago) after putting up with optus for 2 years due to contract.
Is anyone else is having issues with receiving calls and 3g not working on telstra?
I live in kind of a mobile blackspot but it is also happening at work as well and to be honest i had better coverage with optus.
When someone tries to call my phone will not even ring and then it will leave a missed call sms.
I now have no internet access at all, it is just timing out.
Just wondering if this is normal for telstra or do i have an isolated issue?

i would say isolated. I have been with telstra for 15+ years and never had any major issues.
Might find it to be a phone setting as well

check simple things first like the iphone is set to 3g, try setting to only 3g cause buy default iphones try and use 2100Mhz not 850.... if that fails call telstra and if after 1 phone call the issue isnt fixed log official complaint on second call

Sorry should have said the internet not working is random, it will work sometimes but not others.

If possible try your sim in another phone. Try and isolate the problem to the service or the phone, the problems your expiriencing could be any number of issues. Proccess of elimination to narrow it down will help you a lot.

I called up Telstra a couple days ago as my MMS will NOT send out (however all settings are in tact and ok) - reckons there's been infrastructure work since the 07/12/2011 and is still carrying on so problems are intermittent and may also affect internet and etc.
That's what the person said that I spoke to anyway, it could be different for all I know. :)

its probably the phone. I have an Iphone and get missed call messages almost every day

Iphone 3GS on Telstra and never have any reception, call, SMS or internet issues.

^.....same thing Telstra would walk you through. Try it out.
