Sorry for this being so off topic - in the off topic section.

Currently at home have a bit of a bee problem. One or Two of the cupboards in garage have been over run by them - closed cupboard and the cupboard door is starting to get a nice layer of Bees on top. Only noticed it today, can only assume it started within last two days.

Is there any product I can use (that is recommended) to kill them? and more importantly where can it be purchased from.

And if the ONLY solution is pest control who is the best people to call (Located Thornlie)

id say use fly spray - but it only kills flies

Not allergic,
Fire will not happen (didnt see italics so I take it as serious). Apart from worried about burning house down, there is a car in there I do still wish to drive in there. That being said, last time used windows were left down and now bees swarming in that.
Dressed up (jeans, massive hoodie, gloves and muddies and elastic bands) and went in with some baygon - killed a few - pissed off a thousands more.

Which brings back to last point...

Fly spray and a cigarette lighter and go for gold till they get pissed enough to chase you...then run.
If the flyspray doesnt kill them the fire will.

You need to smoke them out, on the other hand you now have natural honey

Yea, grab a couple of mortein bombs (Packs of 3) and place some in the safe spots in the garage and also one right next to them.

2. Run like fuck.

3. Come back 2 hours later... hive dead

Works a treat. If it doesn't get the ones inside the cupboard repeat the process and activate/lob one inside, follow step 2. we dealt with a hive that appeared at my mates house like this, was run like fuck funny/dangerous but effective.

Pretty much sums it up... Unless you want to get a Pest Controller to do it for about $165 then grab some bombs set them off as close as you can and then run like fuck (I would cover up a lot as well)

Yeah cheers - I will try that method.

Its one long cupboard but with different doors - they seem to be only around the last two so I should be able to throw one or two in there relatively safely.

I assume pest controllers be closed from now onwards or be charging ridiculous amounts of money to come out at this time of year.

Fuck that, put them to sleep with smoke, either burnout of massive smokebombs in your garage - they'll pass out and allow you to run in. Then kill with poison of choice.

You might be able to get one of the bee farms out to collect them for you too

Wow - you guys make these out to be killer bee's

I ended up using this which I had lying in the shed.

Would say 99% of them are dead. I actually thought it would take alot more - but I guess it was caught early?

dont kill bees, they are quite the important part of the ecosystem, even thought they can be painful,

find a beekeeper, they will be more then happy to take them off your hands.

Too late by the sounds of it.
I hear there is a big problem with them in the US disappearing, we would be truly fucked if they disappeared!

Expected that spray stuff to be useless as it was just a general insect spray. But considering its that 6 month barrier stuff - concentrated in such a small area...

Time in place for everything.
Having a swarm in by garage/back yard on Christmas Eve with family gathering was unfortunately not it.
Bulk sweeping/vacuuming tomorrow by the look of the state of the floor/cupboard shelves

Feral honey bees have mites and viruses that bee keepers don't want in their swarms. So no respecting one will pick them up :)

we had a big fuck off swarm at our house years ago filled up a lantern holder that was 3 foot tall and hollow on the inside called a bee guy he come looked at them said they were not right swarm for him to harvest but was going to give them to murdoch uni who research bees. we just though he was pulling the piss but week later he dropped the lantern holder back and taped to it was a letter saying thank you for calling a bee remover and not killing them the bees are being studyed and will be relesed in the next couple of months

Got a call back this morning by one of exterminator people that do it professionally - that I assume would probably do the same thing?
They said they have had a few of calls like mine, oddly enough from the same sort of area. Alot more then usual for this time of the year.

Wanted an $60 call out fee and $145-$180 for the job.

Mandurah, gumtree link would of been useful - I guess if it ever happens again I will call them.

People here are quite attached to these little things - so probably best I don't post these aftermath pictures.
