Best place in perth to buy 2x ipad + Samsung Galaxy Tab

doing my xmas shopping and need to pick up 2x iPad 2 Wi-Fi 16GB and 1x Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 16GB WiFi Tablet

can anyone recommended me the best place to pick these 3 tablets up? Also might need some sort of indestructible case for them

prefer NOR but will travel

JB, Retravision, Good Guys, Myer, DSE... name them, they (will) sell them.

They might not have it in stock yet... I spoke to a JB sales rep and good guys last week, they expected delivery last friday, but there were delays. HN might have gotten hold of them first. I tend to not shop there, they're always overpriced...

Apple retailers don't make profit on individual sale of apple products. They make a percentage profit based on the total number of sales for the items. It's a fucked up model however it guarantees that apple can dictate the price of their own products.

Harvey norman would be your best bet for getting all 3 at once as others have said, HN staff are usually pretty flexible when it comes to discounting when buying multiple items.

I would guess that Apple pay decent volume bonuses for moving profit on the back end.

Manufacturers employ the method to stop retailers discounting the product and maintaining item value in the consumers eyes.

It stops prioce wars and the need to keep brining out more products more frequently.

Also, I can't imagine you getting a discount on the tab, given it just came out. After christmas, maybe. Not now.

With harvey norman they have an integrated stock location system, so if you call a store and they say they don't have any, they can check an online database which will tell them if ANY stores in the state do have them. And if they say they can't do it, tell them they're talking shit because the system has been in place for 4-5 years now.

I was at jb with my mate 2 thursday nights ago - bought 2 64gig 3g ipad2's, and got 15 bucks off each of the covers he bought them. So 30 bucks on a near 2k buy.

Max you can get is 10% on the iPads and that was the weekend just past and you had to either be an woolworths/bigw/dse employee or know one to get that. I picked up 2 through a mate :p

5% is possible everyday.....Although not great it's something.

Stuff buying new.... I just picked up a 2 month old MacBook air 11" with the upgraded ram and hard drive so cheap. The dude threw in a free 1tb portable hard drive and a mini blue tooth keyboard. Total value new is about $1500 bucks, I paid $650. Everything looks brand new.

good guys won't have stock till next week, price isn't confirmed yet but the sale dude said it should be good because of there post xmas sale

jb hifi told me there are none in the country and you won't be able to get them for few weeks lol

Harvey Norman had them in stock but not on display. so ended up biting the bullet and getting all 3 from them. dude knock few dollars of the price but not much
