I've booked for Melbourne. I got a 4 corner 4 day pass but I'll only make Fri/Sat/Sun bloody good package so I'll be on turns 1&2 for the race. 1st time I've been to a Gran Prix as well so I'm really looking forward to it. I might also try and get across to Singapore to see the night race if I have the time.

Sunday - Brabham
Saturday - Fangio
Friday - Jones
Thursday - Clark

Just gotta work out who to support / buy merchandise from now... :)

Going to be in Europe in late August/early September..... Looks like it's Spa and Monza for me! Going to try and make at least one of them, it's going to be a tough decision if I can only make it to one. Spa is awesome just because it's Spa. Monza is awesome because it's Monza and because it'll be chock full of rabid Ferrari fans so it should make for a unique weekend. DECISIONS!!!

I'm going to Monza and Spa as I'll be in Denmark at the time. Might catch Singapore on the way back if there is anything left in my holiday fund!

Giving Melbourne a miss. It's overpriced, too many people, too restrictive. You can go to Malaysia for 5 nights with 4 star accommodation with flights and best grandstand package for a few hundred cheaper if you book before 31st December.

Have flights to Singapore booked as of last Thursdays AirAsia sale.

Saw tix have just been released - http://www.singaporegp.sg/ticket/ticket_price.php - trying to decide between premier walkabout tix, or the new "Turn 1 Combination" for about double the cost - any advice? I have heard Turn 1 is a brilliant spot, particularly if trying to get some pics. How does Walkabout fare? Is there still some decent viewing available, and just a matter of getting there early enough?

Cool - was pretty much the way I was leaning.

Now just have to find some way of securing even just a single night at the Marina Bay Sands during F1 week

Did 3 nights at marina bay sands last year, room wasnt anyting special, but worth it for the sky park!

cut out my entry out of the paper to win tickets to the malaysian GP, see they doing packages through that company for 1350 isnt too bad. Will be at melb however. Love to do singapore again this year but might be hard pressed.

Has anyone done brazil? im possibly looking at a holiday to south america in november and if im there may consider trekking over from rio to sao paulo for the race.

Locked in for Singapore GP again for 3rd year in a row. Been at the Marina Bay Sands last 2 years, this year going to be at the Conrad inside the track. Will also go to Amber lounge F1 after party again once they release tickets. Had a great time last year and got to talk with a few few drivers/etc.

Might do Aus again as well depends on work

A few of us did try to organise it for the last round of the 2011 season, problem is most joints usually have something more popular on (AFL,Rugby,Soccer...) or if there's none of that on it's past bed time in WA and the pubs aren't open.

Should be able to do the first round at the Cas, I doubt anything else is on for that race (we can play "spot buckets" on the bog screen)

I tried to organise Brazil there, but there was a pommy Soccer match and they'd only give us preference if we could garuantee 100 people would rock up.. I got 15 people keen in the end...

Yeah. I figured they'd rather watch something else. We need to find some dingy joint that's too feral for most patrons. If only I didn't have kids.....

Looking at buying tickets to the Melb GP,

Looking at either 4 day General Admission ($149) or the following 4 day grandstand tickets for $310:

Anyone have advice, tips or reccomendations

Cheers.

if you get there early enough you can get some pretty decent seats with general admin. if you cant be fucked getting there early, get the grandstand pass.

Thanks Mate, any particular area in General Admin that you would reccomend. from the 360 tour (http://grandprix2012.360south.com.au/), it looks like Hill One is the best choice. for race day anyways?

if you go to the schumacher stand on the 360 tour and look over the back of the food vans, there was alot of people along that fence that had decent views, also near the pit entry, can see a couple corners.

Im going to Monaco this year with my wife and im in the middle of booking tickets, im thinking upper/High grandstand K?? If someone can give me some input into which spot would be best that would be great.
With the kids at home with their grandparents this is a once in a 20 year thing so I dont want to mess it up!

no more spots right up the top. all of the best grandstand seating is gone pretty much. we were lucky to get the last 3 top rows st devote corner for the race.

http://www.formula1monaco.com/
that site is the only one that lets you choose seating.
hope that helps
