thought i may as well get some pix happnen of my rig!
its a Rx3 coupe, phantom purple, polished fr17's simmons,now rego'd as two seater with a half cage, running a 13b turbo eng from a early 90's cosmo, jerico 4spd & a hilux diff under the rear.
has run 10z already with the eng std & a modded s5 turbo .
now the eng is getting ported & doweled, running a large PWR cooler, new exh manifold & 48ml progate, & a large mofo of a turbo....
im hanging to get it back on the road.....

yeah... wait for some gating action!
its a street car & will stay a street car, it has been rego'd properly as is from day one.
the only thing that may not pass pits now is the box, but the pits told me (also as per dpi web site) that a pre 1976 model vehicles can have a modifyed transmission without approval. if in any case i had to , i would put a std s5 turbo box back in it for rego.
otherwise the car is a legal machine, & once back on the road, it will go through the rest of the process to be andra legal for 10.00

ok , bit of an update :

i have sold a few things off the car , mainly motor & box :mad: , i had to cover some debts ...kinda to do with my house & getting a daily etc etc all the usual sh!te. :boink:

so the setup now is still 13bt , just changed back to a mazda turbo 5spd box , tilton twinplate & running a s4 type 13b instead of the cosmo , with the dirty big T76 hanging off the side & a bit of gating action !
i have purchased a new microleb Lt10s ... it was pretty much the last thing i needed to get it going again ! :squint:

so its going to be a pure cruiser now as i cant take it back to the track (i dont want to spend $XXXX to finish getting it andra legal at this point in time) , it will be coming out on many a cruises , soon as i can finish putting it all back together again ! you should'nt be able to miss it ..... dirty big PWR cooler hanging down & all ! :dizzy:

i have no choice for now , it will have to be local ... roto's styles . then at a later date it will get a re-tune.

it will have alot more hp once i boost it up & about the same power on low boost for the street as it ran the 10.60's, :dizzy:
but it no longer has the box to get through the gears , i wont be finding out in a hurry as i cant take it back to the plex untill its andra legal.

Rx3 is back on the road ..... as seen on the weekend Antilag cruise 13.
much to my delight the wa police decided to defect it for a set of brand new tyres travelled less than 100km's were rubbing on the rear guards , so it has a canary for now , untill i get some more funds together to get it off (putting it back on the road has sent me broke haha)

it has had a few changes since it was last over , im not too worried as i was heading there soon for permitts on a couple of guages that are about to be fitted :)

just running a safe pump fuel tune for now , on 7psi was making 270 at the treads .. . .& for a large turbo it is very very drivable & not laggy :)

it hasnt been on the road in over a year ,
i took it off the road to build the engine & change the turbo setup... it was a standard engine when it was running 10's with a modifyed mazda turbo....

now it should be capable of nearly double the previous horsepower on big boost (22 - 25psi) but for now im leaving it on low boost just for a bit of street driving.



You can have a play with me and bobbo if u like booga.
ill be keen , but i expect to be chopped for now ..... whilst on low boost .... but its all good :boink:

ok bit of an update : i took it over the pits today , i got a fairly harsh inspector but it still wasnt that bad,
i have got to take the locker out :nono:
change one of my highbeam lights because its a spotty ,
change brake light switch <--- dodgy brake lights ,
number plate light to work
exhaust is 15ml too low ,
heater to blow hot air on windscreen <-- i was wtf? first time in 7years ive been asked that !
stamp an enginge number on the block,
small cover on gearbox & oil leaks on gearbox to be rectifyed <--- gearbox is fuct so ill have to chuck it away.

so a few things to sort out & it'll be sweet , new box will have to be on the cards too.(just another ****ty mazda box though)

in previous posts in this thread i have said how i went back to a mazda 5spd , Lee now has my jerico in his rx3 coupe.

the heater i already picked up another assy today so ive just got to fit it.

the front plate where the engine number is normally has been changed & has nothing on it , so i have to stamp it.

well me rx3 is off the road for a while again , i keep smashing gearboxes & diffs to bits,
so i have a custom 35 spline 9inch getting built by the king of diffs in perth : - Phil Purser from Final Drive diff conversions .

i am on the hunt for a new gearbox , i am going to try a FD box for the street , but i am looking for something more serious for the strip , so it may be going back to a jerico for racing.

heres a pic from last sunday , i ran 11.88 @ 130mph on street tyres & fuct the box ,
