hey

replaced my oxygen sensors before i drove down to busselton afew weeks ago

anyways fuel economy was great
got back and idling starting failing hard and my fuel economy was like 30l/100km
so took to it to WA performance and one of the new 02 sesnors had failed and around the thread had gone blue from getting waaay to hot
replaced that sensor with a genuine GM one

the one that fucked up i have had a replacement sent to me also

idling is fine again but my fuel economy wont come down from 20.4L/100km

with the old sensors it was averaging about 17-18L/100km

its only Maffless tuned, OTR, exhuast, 3.9s usual shit minus any internal work
it is auto though

would this mean one of the 02 sensors is failing again ?

cheers

What gasket goo have you used (if you have taken your cat pipes off), as different silicons can affect 02 sensors because as they heat up they release a gas from the silicon which kills 02 sensors..

Sorry forgot to say what happened. Sent it off to WA perf, one of the new 02 sensors failed so replaced it with a gm one but it's still hovering around the 20l/100km hAvnt really bothered to look any further as it's running find. Guessing tune was with old 02 sensors so who knows now they are new its running abit odd

Checked your spark plugs ? My LS1 fouls the plugs hard when a 02 sensor has died..
