Anyone ever sell something to over east?

Need help

So basically I have my lappie for sale on gumtree and someone from over east has contacted me and says they will buy it and use paypal for the payment. I have heard of paypal scams before so i'm not too keen on this method, but would like to know if there are any safe methods of making this sale?

Gumtree is rife with PayPal scams, I'd be wary. Just tell him direct bank transfer or nothing.

Just make him transfer the money into your paypal, then you transfer the money from your Paypal to your bank, once cleared. Send laptop.

If he starts asking for money or saying that he has his own shipping company to pick it up and get it to him, back out.
