Driving Standards
You will inevitably be punted during the evening (from accidents or lag) but 'revenge' punts just breed more shit driving.
Keep it clean. Even if you think you've been hard done by. Keep it clean.
> Give each other racing room. No other pushing or ramming other cars off the tarmac.
> If you accidentally push or hit a competitor off the track, slow and let them re-pass you to address the situation (apologising via your headset will also help).
> If you deliberately push or hit a competitor off the track, you won't be invited back.

See you all Thursday.

Looking forward to this. The DB9 is quite easy to drive and enjoyed doing a couple of laps around cape ring south. Although still need more practise, very inconsistent through the middle sector.

I agree Fusion: for a powerful RWD it's not the handful people might think. Throwing it around Deep Forrest was a pleasure.
And I just noticed: boost low for second race? It's usually off for the second race and on for the third.

Wish I had my wheel already, but will be on button bashing nonetheless.
must make sure I am in for this one.

Don't like the DB9 personally, the understeer kills some of the fun and it's not as nice when it slides out (might just be my settings).
Managed a 1:12.40 around cape ring south with standardish settings, quite a bit more time left in it.
To save people doing it on the night...
Good top speeds for:
Cape Ring - 270km/h
Spa - 306km/h (default)
Suzuka - 280km/h

I think the battle of the button bashers that race in the mid field will comes down to who is the easiest on the tyres. Playing around last night, it's about 20 seconds longer over 14 laps to do a pit stop. Although without the pitstop lap 14 was very slippery.
I found I was doing my quickest time around 4-5 laps in with the quickest a 1:12.09. Averaging mid to high 1:12's normally.

Also you can get a free car by doing the new time trial in the seasonal events. GTR (GT academy edition) or something along those lines for people that haven't been online since Monday.

Nice! I got to 58th in the drift one last week, it had only been open a day though, and I was using a Chevelle or something compared to everyone elses Speed 12's.. Was proud, bet that score got smashed down to 2000th or something stupid by a bunch of blokes sitting online all day bettering scores.

Being NAT type 3 came back to haunt me again tonight. Been disconnected a few times and now it won't let me back in at all. wish my router would let me be Nat 2, it's so frustrating.
Added a poll for next week.

In the one race i was in i had to laugh at Brockas flying past me into the last corner at Cape ring and straight into you lol. Brockas was punted good at the very first corner though, didnt see who the culprit was though.

In the second shot, you are only in the top 3 because you pushed your way through the pack from 2nd last on the grid in the first corner. I was on the inside of the corner and next thing I know I was flying towards MGR from a punt up the back.
I couldn't believe the amount of carnage I was getting into in the Nascar races. Every time there was a group of car, someone would spin and I'd end up in the carnage.

nascar was a whole bag of lol's.
im going to try and get the replay up tonight of the start, 1st & 2nd laps.
there was a big crash before everyone was going into the pits, i was doing 360's, then did a 180 just before the pit line and braught me in. i went in 8th or last and came out in 3rd.

I think that is SV304's moto... While VY is more of a punter SV is more of a pusher haha
Nascar is great now I did 2 minor tweaks to my suspension and the things does not drift every corner haha
I think i was leading on lap 6/7 of three of the races only to come near last in all of them

LOL so you magically come from last to 3rd by the first corner, and some how I've punted you and I'm the one who's ended up off the track? What planet are you on?

That felt so good inside. Wasn't deliberate, but if I had to hit someone, I'm glad it was Simon!
We spent 15 minutes qualifying in that race, and after 8 seconds I had gone from 3rd to 8th thanks to Simon punting me off at the first corner.

I love the NASCAR stuff. It always results in fits of laughter.
I still don't understand the pitstops though. On one occasion I was 6 seconds ahead thanks to everyone behind me having an enormous crash, enter the pit lane doing 80km/h, and come out 4th. Other times I'll fly in, won't get held up, and gain a position or two. Can't figure out why.

I think if you check I was actually clean into the first corner :) But I may be wrong

haha I'm in Bali for a week as of tomorrow but I'll come pick it up when I get back :)
PS. Anyone got footage of the first corner, I seem to be getting blamed for multiple hits but I think I was clean and it was someone else

I had my 7 week old asleep on my chest for 3/4 ofthe racing, had to put her to bed for NASCAR though, too many lols was going to wake her!
first time in the wet, and first time NASCAR, both awesome. there was more rubbin going on than a 14yo boy whos just discovered RedTube.
Just noticed that whoever programmed the percentage calcs for the polls needs to go ask for his school money back - or should I go ask for mine back?

The pole allowed multiple selections per vote. 8 voters chose 9 cars.
Looks like the Lamborghini wins. First race on Thursday will be Fuji Speedway F.
