LOL helpful thread
made me lol ^
they go pretty dam well in the sand, will cruise up and down any beach that a cruiser or patrol will. Just dont expect to come away from something like the powerlines without having lost a few hundred killos of plastic bits.

Mate just bought one & they go alright in the sand, not so well in proper offroad scenarios. Good mileage, look good, not too slow, so all in all a pretty decent package for a daily/work rig.

I was asking rrp to see if it compares with a mistashitti. They art great for coil and morrow than capable with decent tyres and a tiny lift, awesome stock LSD.

i like them, not as well equipped as the latest triton, d40, and especially the new bt50/ford ranger but nice to drive and i reckon they look good with some mods.
there is a new model coming next year though i think.
only issues i know of are sticking solenoids for the push button 4wd. i wouldnt touch a triton even if it was a leased vehicle . cracking chassis just arent cool

old man has a triton and is very happy with it, i'm on the new-triton forums too and haven't seen it mentioned on there (i haven't searched though) and those guys like a whinge, there's about 400 threads on carbon build up alone!
got more details of the cracking chassis? be nice to know what to look out for.
cheers
there is quite a few threads around about it - shauno on here should be able to fill you in about it

ahh yeah i've seen that, old mans will never be loaded to that extent and would only tow his van, that guy was within mitsubishi's specs though so he says but a look at the chassis and compare it to a large 4x4 that's rated at the same capacity and there's a huge difference, the money he spent on that could have had a 06 gu 4.2 with all the fruit and never an issue.

Wow, this phones auto correct is gayer than aids. Meant to be great for the price and more than capable off road. Who cares if it cracks, cars are disposable these days, upgrade at 100,000 kms.
