Hi guys, finally finished my first attempt at timelaps with the go pro. Did batch processing on the pics to bring out the contrast.
Came up pretty sweet. Cant wait to try it down the beach at sunset.

I was fishing for around 2-3 hours. Battery lasted. Not sure how many pics. Digital screen maxed out a 999 so alot more than that i recon lol

Battery on the GoPro should last around 4 hours. it will fill the card before it stop taking pics.

Nice work marc.

Did you do the time lapse through Adobe After Effects? I got stumped at trying my first time lapse. Ended up with like a 22Gb file, and could barely reduce it (maybe went down to 20Gb) Not sure where the hell i went wrong.

Was this shot on the new Go Pro? Looks tempting to get.

I use QuickTime pro - there are tutorials on how to do it with few steps.
Can be found at piratebaydotcom

That looks cool. Love time lapse vids. Nice work.

Was that the egg timer meant to stop there (seems weird for it to move from the start, then stop for more than half of the video, or maybe that's just my conventional thinking)? Can you adjust the speed of the panning, or is it a set speed and only the timing that can be changed. Pretty cool bit of kit for the price.

Keen to see the sunset one when you get around to it.

Not with a GoPro, but with my 1D Mk4 & 15mm fisheye (didn't want to thrash out the shutter on my 5D).
5second exposures taken in 5 second intervals, that ran until my 3/4 full battery went flat. A bit over 1000 images for this.
First successful time lapse, and cheers for the links and info above. Ended up with ~100Mb file, which is bit better than the 20+Gb I was getting before. Just shot on a medium res jpg, and didn't bother touching it up. Corny music thanks to YouTube.
