[16-11-11] Motive DVD / Antilag.com Cruise

[Brockas]

Motive DVD are coming over for the ADGP on the 18th and 19th of November (not this weekend, the next) and as usual they want to see what street cars are doing the rounds in Perth.

We will be holding an official Motive / Antilag.com cruise where Motive will be filming for their upcoming DVD.


Meet: 8:00pm for a 9pm depart (so the motive crew have plenty of time to film some feature cars)
Location: Galleria, Morley (downstairs car park, next to Fast Eddys).

Keep in mind this cruise will be televised on national TV (Spped TV), so please don't ruin it for everyone at the first meet.



Usual antilag.com cruise rules apply:
- Don't be a dickhead.
- Don't rev your engine at meetpoints.
- Don't crank your stereo, the Motive DVD boys do not give a fuck about your subwoofers.
- Don't do skids at the first meetpoint, as we'll then have to move before the boys get a chance to properly film everything.

I went down for the first meet point and hung around for an hour and a half or so... Good to catch up with people and definitely a few very nice rides!

Didn't see any cops apart from the booze bus on the way in... Pretty impressed as everyone seemed fairly well behaved!(apart from aforementioned SV6 driver and his pathetic attempt at wheelspin) :)

Printed 100 maps, wasn't even close to enough. Would have been about 200 cars there.

Now, housecleaning matters:
1. Many of us are aware that there was an accident involving someone on the cruise. The rumor mill is flying, but to get the story straight nobody was racing and it was simply a mistake made which had dire consequences to the car. Luckily nobody was seriously hurt.
Anyone who mentions this accident in this thread will be immediately banned. This is to stop gossip and Chinese wispers changing the story from person to person.

2. There was a P Plater driving a red R35 who was by all accounts driving like a complete fucking tool. If anyone knows his username (if he is on here) please let me know via PM.

An interesting night.

Saw an unmarked pull over some cars 1km from the first met point but never saw that one on Tonkin getting cars both ways.
As with all cruises, you can't control everyone and sadly as such, some muppet did tag along and dropped a failed skid before the cruise had started.
As for the red R35, there were two. I think I know who you're referring to because I'm sure it wasn't the one that the owner was being harassed by the force at the second meet.
The bitch fight was entertaining.
Would loved to have continued on the night but like most of us, had to bail for work the next morning..

With the Innaloo meet, the underground carpark was locked (I was pretty sure it would be - I work there haha)... I did a quick whiz around the other carparks to make sure nobody else was lost there before heading back to where I'd seen the rest of the crew, so I don't think we lost many people there :)

The inaloo bunnings car park there is usually lit up well late. Unless someone knows something I don't about that being a bad spot.
