Hey all, first off just thought I'd say hi to everyone. Recently just joined the site and found out about it through that Powercruise DVD out of FastFours.
Um, names Mitchell or Mitch [I get called either], from NZ and own a DE+T S14 Silvia :)
Um, now on to the questions:
1. I've heard that S15 interior can fit in an S14. Now I've done a bit of research and found that both the rear and front seats fit in straight away along with the dash, but you need to mod the door cards a little in order to fit correctly. Problem is, I've found other info suggestioning that all the seats fit in perfectly, but both the dash and the trims need modding a little. Anyone be able to confirm this?
And second question:
2. Currently building a proper SR20DET with forged internals, larger turbo etc etc. I'm aiming for at least a good 300kw at the rear wheels but been told that the rocker arms will snap at anything over 300kw? Can anyone confirm this.
Thanks, Mitchell :)

Haven't heard of rocker arms snapping, onyl jumping (or somethign like that). It's a good idea to chuck some rocker arm stoppers in. Should solve the issue.
Its not power that will damage rocker arms, it is revs.

It couldnt hurt purchasing some Tomei Rocker Arm Stoppers. I know Tengoku Imports have some.
Contact them through here: http://www.facebook.com/Tengoku.Imports

Oh I see. It was the first time hearing about the rocker arms snapping at that myself, why I was a bit confused about it.
@Gleeso: What other parts would they sell for an SR? I got to eventually purchase some solid lifters, but that can wait.

Cant tell you off the top of my head. Just contact them and go from there. They have quite a wide variety of stock.

Oh okay, cheers for that.
Does anyone know about the interior side of things?

get solid lifters and uprated valve springs to reduce rocker arm issues
rocker arm stoppers are not a fix all, mine popped off with them... (timing issue, all fixed now)
Rocker arms snap / dislodge for a couple reasons;
1. Most common is due to over-revving or
2. Valve/Shim heights arent set correctly when the cylinder head is rebuit OR the valve seat is compromised and in turn puts the valve heights out which results in the same thing.
3. Excessively worn valve guides / seats, tired valve springs can also attribute to a rocker arms dislodging at high rpm.
Rocker arm stoppers help but are not 100% insurance. Make sure the head is shimmed properly, ie the valves that share a common lifter are equal in height within 1thou where possible but 2-3 thou is also acceptable if your not a perfectionist and the rev limit isnt going past 7500rpm. If you want to rev it to 8000rpm then you want to make sure the shim heights are 100% perfect.
Every SR cylinder head that i have rebuilt has got the shims done properly and not a single one has had issues with high rpm reliability. :)

or just put a VE head onto it, some springs and retainers and go to 9500rpm all day :D
