Hello,

I have a problem with gear changing. Most of the time when I get in my car in a morning my clutch is very heavy and it wont select any gears. The other day at work I put it in first and put the clutch down (it was heavy) started the car and it learched forward as if I started it without the clutch. I give it a few pumps with the car off and put it into each gear and then return to first and start the car... It is then fine after that, the clutch is back to normal.

Could this be the Clutch master cylinder?? is it on its way out? has anyone else had this problem?
hope you's can help!

Thanks in advance!
Dan :)

Sounds like the master cylinder is bypassing internally.

is the inner seal replaceable or is the whole unit stuffed when that happens

ARRRHHHH!!!! I brought a master cyl yesterday and fitted it last night.. drove it for 40 mins without any problems. got up this morning drove down the road to find that it wouldnt select any gears and you had to turn the car off to select first, then start it and it would start driving on its own! the only way you could select any other gears was if you forced it and it took alot of force. any ideas PLEASE HELP ME !!!! :(

cheers

Dan

found the problem grrrrrr.

A clip from inside the rim of the pressure plate had broken off and was jamming in between the pressure plate and clutch so it wasnt fully releasing. Pisses me off seeing it a brand new Excedy Racing clutch and pressure plate. I have taken pics of it and awaiting there reply
