hey all ive done a few searches but come up with sweet fukal
ive got a 1990 hilux 4wd space cab wanting to put a well body back on it.
So are the 2wd and 4wd well bodys the same width/wheelarches ect?

Single cab to single is same/same. Dual cab to dual cab is same/same. single cab to dual cab is not same (dual is much shorter).
Last wreckers I checked wanted $1k for a dual cab one with a couple dents in it couple months ago.
I was just going to try and see if I could make a newer model one fit from an '07 or something (seen them on gumtree for $350) but didn't eventuate.

i'm 99% sure the 4wd trays are wider in the bodywork but structurally they are the same and a 2wd tray will bolt on the 4wd chassis.
Any reason u want a wellbody instead of a tray back? If your goin offroad alot a shortened flat tray is much better as the clearance is much better all round and less panel work to get dented up. A flat tray also has a shit load more space to carry stuff than a well body.
BUT.... i gotta admit a jacked up street truck with big tyres looks heaps better with a wellbody.

Very different lengths/design...
Just for the OP - I wrecked a 2WD Dual Cab for parts for my car (4WD Dual Cab) - I didn't look far into everything but swapped doors over etc. I found the inner guard liners to be no where near the same width as that of the 4x4. Not sure how other parts are affected, but rears were the same IIRC. Could be similar issue for Single Cab?

yer mr mike pretty much the jacked up well body look was what im after,
my spacecab has a custom made stainless tray its bearable but yer jacked up well body definatley has more appeal.

They are definately the same in the extracab, thats why the minitruck fags only need to have the front guards in primer.
I have 2 in perfect condition but they arent for sale.

Why was it that they need the front guards in primer????

Because they only need to change the front guards to get the extra width of the 4wd guards all round, and driving around in primer adds respect.
