With the change to single turbo in the coming weeks, it's time for some squirters.

Can pick up a top feed conversion for the JZ for a decent price with Siemens 850cc injectors. That's rail, plugs, injectors etc etc etc. But they also do a deal with Denso 850cc plugs with Sard pressure regulator and gauge for a little more. While 850cc may be a bit of overkill for the power figures i'll be making, it makes it easier if i plan on going the E42.5 route down the road.

Is the reg and gauge necessary?
Which Injectors are better quality?

Cheers,

Jared

I don't see why a fuel reg would be required if you've got fairly large injectors...

Same place this kit is offered from Marty, but isnt much extra. Thought having the top feed conversion will keep options open for later on.

well fpr aint really needed , you only need them when your injectors are too small and you need to bump fuel pressure.
i prefer stock fpr , not need to bump pressure if you are running correct size injectors.
gotta watch cheap top feed fuel rails too , i heard they can give headache's in fitment quality.

i cant really comment on comparison between seimens and denso , what about id1000 if ya thinking e85 mixing

ive used HKS aka denso injectors with good results. also have used nismo ones in the past which are also denso afaik.

ive got 4 hks 1000cc top feeds i was thinking bout selling, they are brand new, pm me if ur interested. only thing is you would need to buy two more.

Siemens 850's are apparently pretty ordinary to tune with, and that's on a falcon with bulk controlability through the pcm. PowerFC is pretty limited in comparison, so i'd personally go ID1000's which are QUALITY!!

Dude with JZX90 Chaser over east has run this same kit, and has had no issues with the fitment of the rail. Have looked into the ID1000s already. Still need the top feed conversion + top feed plugs etc etc... puts the injection side over the 1K mark. But i realise you pay for the quality.

Meh, may just go drop ins.

When i looked you had the choice of injector length, and injector size (11 or 14mm). Which ones did you get?

...I do not know :D (lol)

I just told the supplier I wanted ones to fit a 1JZGTE VVTI...comes with a bunch of plugs and some adaptors it would appear.

You can extend 11mm ones with little hat thingos. I bought mine from www.fiveomotorsport.com

i think this the the link for tojos - http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/import-high-performance-fuel-injectors/toyota

And.... http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/flow-matched-ev14-1000cc-fuel-injectors-import-fit
thats pretty much what I bought.

I have sard 850cc top feeds and sard rail and to be honest by the time you fuck around with the adapters and the rail you wish you just stayed with the side feeds, like marty said drop in takes an hour or two.

Cheers for the links Marc. That second one says they fit 2JZ, so should drop into the 1J fuel rail aswell? Sweet. 1000cc for 570USD, can!

So from reading the following description, Injector Dynamics injectors are basically these FiveO motorsports injectors?

Indisputible facts about Fiveomotorsport and Injector Dynamics fuel injectors:
Fiveo offers custom-milled and flow-matched EV14 fuel injectors that we guarantee to dynamically flow a true 1000cc. The ID "1000" sets will flow anywhere from only 920cc to 970cc. Injector Dynamics "1000" is re-worked, re-milled and re-branded from the EV14 0280158117/G-302 47lbs/hr fuel injectors. (The p/n has been removed). Fiveo 1000cc injectors are delivered with custom, individual flow-sheets. Each injector Fiveo sells is inscribbed with a control number. Those control numbers are shown on the flow sheet that is sent to you with your set of 1000cc injectors. The ID "1000" sets are delivered with a generic data sheet of no data sheet at all. Bottom Line: Fiveomotorsport doesn't hype-it up in expensive advertising. We deliver a solid, dependable, easy to tune product.

They are a bosch EV14 injector

Yeah, but the above quoted bit suggest ID1000s start life off as the Bosch EV14? Wonder if the y perform like the ID injectors do, where they are smooth on idle, throughout rev range and shit. I would like to go big for the future, but i don't want it to be a bitch tot une etc etc

They do start off as an EV14. The key is the way ID and Paul Yaw test and match each set. The bit in the five-0 motorsports speil about no data being supplied with ID's is BS they have some of the most comprehensive data sheets avaliable. Paul Yaw is also very open with his test methods and data and easliy contactable if you need assistance

I <3 Id's and im not a fanboi as I dont own a set. They are brilliant end of story.

Ask Sean @ ASG what he thinks of mine. I'm running the 1000cc's and my car starts and idles fine with a 284 cam and no idle valve all year round.
