Driving Standards

You will inevitably be punted during the evening (from accidents or lag) but 'revenge' punts just breed more shit driving.
Keep it clean. Even if you think you've been hard done by. Keep it clean.

> Give each other racing room. No other pushing or ramming other cars off the tarmac.
> If you accidentally push or hit a competitor off the track, slow and let them re-pass you to address the situation (apologising via your headset will also help).
> If you deliberately push or hit a competitor off the track, you won't be invited back.

See you all Thursday.

Voted for the RX8, since we've just heard the news that Mazda aren't making rotaries any more.

I thought MGR was going to ban you this week for this move:

Which resulted in this:

I'm yet to learn how to get any awd understeer monster through turn 1 of Madrid without drifting. This may lead to several pit stops from me lol.

nah my game was fucked for the 1st few races, i was only seeing 5 cars on the track besides myself. i thought people were just sitting out on the fiat races. i ended up rebooting the ps3 and coming back in.

hopefully this 2.0 update fix's all these stupid bugs.

it would be interesting to watch the reply from car and see what it does & the lines i was taking.

1:18 is the best i could do.

i played around with suspension and shit and found it makes hardly any difference. so i just left it stock.

I agree, I've tried tuning them before and when fully modified they seem to handle like shit no matter what you do. Even with a setup massively encouraging oversteer it still won't turn in.

Just a tip, I found when modding GT-R's you have to really tune out the aggressiveness of the diffs.

Put the rear diff down to 5, 5, 5, and it should turn in better. You won't get as much traction on the exit, but that shouldn't really matter.

well im off sick today, so i have plenty of time to experiment.

will give it a shot.

edit. nah fuck that. way too much wheelspin from the rear.

I'm finding this car/track combo quite difficult to do consistent laps. Most of the time is made by making a clean lap and getting lines perfect. Most other tracks if you run wide a little you grab a small patch of grass and lose a tenth or two. On this track you hit the wall and lose half a second or more. Turn in too early clipping the inside barrier causes massive time loss.

That last chicance is going to fuck a few people over tonight.

Got home 9.15, scrambled to get ready, phone rings, emails, blah. Looks like I missed a corker

Nurburgring races were all nuts. Definitely think I need to invest in a wheel for future x2010 races. Shame my short flight at nurburgring was in practice, would have made a good photo.

wet racing was just crazy. i was running traction control on 5 and it still required alot of throttle control.
