Hi guys!

Looking to build my first home, had a meeting with these guys today and seems pretty good, pretty much looking for some feedback from anyone who has used these guys or another company who aim at first homebuyers.

Thanks in advance

I've used Homestart (for my first) and Homebuyers centre (for "cheap" investment properties) they are all much the same from what I can see. They all offer similar levels of customer support and guidance for first home buyers (finance support ect). I'm not sure who they are backed by (Homestart is BGC, Homebuyers is Dale's ect) but I'd say in all honesty find a design you want with the features you want with in your price range and then go with that mob. Unless you have the budget for a Zorzi your going to get the same end result where ever you go.

one bit of advise i can give is buy a block of land that already has the titles released, 2 of my friends bought blocks of land well signed contracts for blocks of land at the start of the year. One of them their block of land was already pegged out and roads made the other he block of land was still a padock with horses fuckin about on it.
Neither of them have titles yet, so while the house part is all squared away taps and colours chosen and they are making repayments on that part neither can start the actual building process. Chris has been told it will be within the next month for the 3rd time, and Carrie has been told it should be Ja/Feb next year.
Both are locked into contracts now with the developer and cant get out of it and because it has taken so long for any progress to be made the bank has informed Chris when he does actually recieve titles he is going to have to do the whole land part of the finance again cos its been so long since he was approved they still want to make sure he is suitable.
Another mate of mine works at Content Living, he's the guy responsible for getting the slabs poured and he reckons its common as anything these days for developers to sell land before its actually been divided up and approved. This way they can make a heap of money from the sale of the first stage of the development then use that money to get the next stage going. Meanwhile technically stage 1 still isnt ready.

Aussie Living are owned by VHG (Ventura Homes Group), which i work for.
As said try to avoid pre-sale lots, because you will be waiting for months for Titles.

ive just finished building with Ventura ID...so as Scaf said, if its the same mob, you are in great hands

I cannot fault Nick & Zoe @ Ventura - the whole build i didn't have one problem

Nick really goes the extra mile...which was great as being my first home i was a fucking noob to say the least

edit: i had a block first then just got them to put my home on it...class job, great finish and AWESOME service
