A man was threatened with a screw driver in Osborne Park last night before his Subaru Liberty was stolen.
Inspector Neil Blair said a white ute pulled up alongside the Subaru on Hector Street at about midnight.
"A male, with dark skin approximately 182-185cm tall with a green top pulled over his head got out of the passenger side of the utility and threatened the driver with a large screw driver," he said.

Insp Blair said the man demanded the driver in the Subaru hand over his vehicle.
The offender was last seen driving the charcoal grey Subaru Liberty along the Mitchell Freeway.
The ute involved in the incident was last seen driving along Wanneroo Road.

You looking to get an inurance payout to fund for another Niva? If thats the keys that they took.

Also, why didnt this dude drive away, the article doesnt put a detailed enough pictured in my head, all I think of is him jumping out his car even when his car is locked and the windows are up kind of situation.

Why would you even steal a car? What would you do with one if you stole it? Change the numberplates and hope you wouldnt get caught with it or what?

Didn't a Silvia get stolen a while ago and it was spotted doing laps of Freo/Subiaco/Northbridge or something? Clearly you need to add "pick up bitches" to that list.

I've played a lot of Grand Theft Auto and I know that no matter what - doing that - sooner or later you're just gonna end up at the police station or at the hospital.

The guys who stole my car drove it to Port Hedland, then back to Gero.

A guy i worked with years ago had an old banger corolla for his train station daily, comes into work one morning and tells me it got stolen the day before and hasn't been found..

2 days later he gets a call saying its been located and to come pick it up off the side of the road as it'd run out of juice..

so he goes to get it, throws some petrol in it and drives off, next day he drives to the station parks it up, pulls the rotor dizzy button out of it to give it a cheap imobaliser and comes to work..

gets back to the station that night, and the car is gone, again, reports it to the cops once more, this time they actually catch the car on the move, and bust the guy driving..

Turns out, there was a guy maddington way who used to steal old corollas all the time, and had an arsenal of spare parts he carried with him, so a missing rotor button was no hassle at all, seems he was very well known to the cops for it as well..

Seems this weekend gone was quite bad for house break ins and cars stolen, Got my house got broken into on Friday night while I slept. They took my wife's keys and her car a long with a plethora of baby stuff that was in the car. Got a call this morning that the car had been recovered and seemed okay. The cop I was talking to said they had a total of 87 cars that got taken from garages this weekend. My next door neighbors got done twice this weekend, Friday night right before or after me and in the early hours of this morning. pingpingpingpings are getting real brazen.

And it's still insanely difficult to get a gun license, and still very likely you'll get fucked on if you shoot someone invading your home.

Change that please, strongly believe the only people who are controlled by gun control LAW are those living on the right side of the law.

What pisses me off is the fact that they can break in, attempt to steal your shit and when they get the shit beaten through them, the home owner gets into more trouble than the lowlife scum.

Exactly - though apparently getting heavily intoxicated before Police reach you can be in your favour.

Maybe lessen your exposure but it sure as shit didn't help me. Car was locked up in the garage fuckers broke the lock on a glass sliding door in my games room than hit the bureau where the keys, wallets, mobiles etc. are kept took took $800 bucks cash (which I was going to spend on cocaine and a cheap hooker) and the wife's iPad and iPhone and a replica Faberge egg (lucky my dak dak is broken and in the shop). Spent a small fortune today getting new locks put on and dead bolts installed on all my sliders. I have no illusions about the fact that they'll probably try to get in again. God help them if I catch them in the act, might be in the market for some 44 Gal drums and fuck load of acid.

So you lot getting your keys taken from your house, you got garages or just cars parked out front? Interested to know if it makes a difference...
Still setting my alarm every night before sleep tho...

As for getting done for beating intruders... No body, no case....
