Went to budapest last week as one of the stops on our european adventures. 65euro bought you the 'shoot everything package' which consisted of 8 handguns, mossberg 500 pump action, semi automatic shotgun, mp5 semi auto, fully automatic skorpian (actually illegal to fire live rounds so this was hush hush), ak47 semi auto, ak47 auto (blanks) and the piece de resistance - a soviet dragnov sniper rifle.

This was SO MUCH FUN! I thoroughly suggest if anyone is planning travel through eastern europe - prague etc - to google some shooting clubs and give this a go. No silly safety restrictions like perth stuff either. The dude running the show was clearly ex special forces, he was a lad, but you got the idea if you fucked around, he would waste no time in twisting your head off your shoulders!

Eastern Europe is high on my "post Uni" travels. Off to Thailand this year, heart is set on the AK, not a member of any clubs in Perth and sick of the stupid shit you have go go through here, only to be chained to a post...

kicked like a mule - guy was describing how to shoot it - 'this one is semi auto so just aim and pull trigger like, ding ding ding ding'

yeah right!!! definitely took my time with that one. The AK was awesome, so easy to shoot. The MP5 was the same, minimal recoil. The skorpian was by far my favourite in fun factor though, 15 rounds 1.5 seconds. Spray and pray!

Glad you had a good time, but anyone who crosses the line from 90 degrees from the end of the barrel just to take pics is taking a big risk IMO. I know you said the guy running it knows what he's doing, but if he actually cared about safety, there's no way you'd be able to get pics from in front of the gun.
