We've also got camera's around the house here, it's very common these days and relatively cheap to setup too. Nearly every house in my street has them (and quite frankly, I'm not surprised given the area I live in).

If that is the case, it's pathetic. Sounds similar to the "beware of dog" signs you need to put up if your dog is "vicious"? You know, just in case someone decides they have a right to trespass on your property and your dog attacks them.

Pretty sure it applies to hidden cameras, not ones in plain sight. You can use camera footage in court as long as the person knows they are being filmed. If they miss the signs or don't see the obvious cameras, ignorance is no excuse.

Security act means only one person needs to know that anything is being recorded, i.e, the person recording. But, that's if you're present, don't know if you're not there?

Also, isn't it also the case that if you put up those signs it means that you're already admitting that there's a risk and you're at fault? Like, if you put up those signs saying "You play on this playground at your own risk" you're admitting that there's a risk involved and that you haven't taken measures against it, and get raped.
