hey guys. thought i might take a moment to share with you my new toy.
its a 1989 180sx with silvia front end. i bought it about a month ago from gumtree. its got a ca18det with big end gone so its gonna be my project when i loose my licence.

Yeah drift project the project part is rebuilding the motor aiming at around 450hp. Links fixed

Hey guys its been a while since ive updated this the reson being i havent touched my car yet ...... Till now.
Im gonna get stuck in to it. I bought a new engine the other day from bunbury and began to strip it down. First of im just gonna get it running so i can drive it. Then second im gonna build my new engine with the stroker kit.

Im getting the new block bored and honed for the 0.5mm over size forgies. I cant wait to get this running as i havent even driven it yet haha.

If you are aiming for 450hp surely SR/Something not a CA is the way to go

CA's can handle it. I know there was a Blue 180 from Japland which was fucking mental. SR would be easier and cheaper though.

they just need to be revved like a vtech to make the power. so it's possible, but i'd question how the power will be delivered though...

Ah , this was one of my best mates sil80 , hey owned it for over 7 years , he did all the mods listed above with great attention to detail , the sil80 conversion and paint was done in mid 2009 , had the ugly ass CA front end before that!

Yeahh its one of the nicest sil80's ive ever come across and i dont realy want to do an sr conversion theres realy no point coz i already have the power and if i get an sr i have to start all over again.

I meant more in terms of power delivery for a drift car. I am sure it will go 450... but what is the curve going to look like?

Hey so i got my block and everything back from galloways the other day. Got the block bored, honed, crank ballenced, clearanced, pistons and rods ballenced, flywheel ballenced and faced and block faced. It cost a bit but worth it in the long run. Im using all acl race bearings but still waiting on my bigends :( and have been for 2 weeks.any way here are some pics. Hopefully i will gave it running next week :)

Just waiting on an oil pump gasket :( when i get it on monday i will hopefully have my car running this next week :) cant wait. In the mean time i have just orderd some custom plates LYKA BO55 i reckon it will suit this car realy well then its finnished. Im thinking of painting my rims white and getting my camber on!!!
