Hi all,

Sometime last night I had an employees work vehicle broken into and a brand new Husqvarna automatic drill sytem stolen. Drill system consists of drill stand, drill motor and automatic drill system. Worth around $4.5k plus GST. Looks exactly like this;

The machinery was stolen between midnight and 6am this morning from Balga. It's has very distinguishing features; brand new, never used. One of only three systems in WA. Brand new technology.

I'm not concerned about the replacement cost, more so the inconvenience of not having it to use on a large project I've just started.

I'm offering a reward to anyone who can help recover the equipment. I suspect the vehicle was broken into in order to sell the good for a quick buck....the equipment is of no use to anyone outside my industry.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and rewarded.

Check local cashies. Dad had his work truck broken into, pricks stole 2 paslode nailguns, couple of grinders and his litre saw, ended up finding the saw at cashies, proved ownership with serial numbers and took it home.

File a report with serial numbers noted and etc. - should pop up on the cashies system as they link to the police database.

Doubt something like this would rock up at cashies though? Quokka or GumTree or even dumped if it is too hard to sell?

Speak to the managers at the local hire centers just in case someone tries to sell them there.

Thanks for the feedback. I checkout the online ads and the local cashies, who know, might end up being found in a bush.

I received a call from Morley Police this morning, they have recovered the machinery yesterday afternoon. I picked the machinery up this afternoon, all in good order. They've a couple of persons of interest they've yet to question.

An observant neighbour dobbed them in. Sucked in.

Yeah because normally all they do is stake out people in performance cars........

I'll talk to the detectives today, I will probably need to go to court about this matter. Apparently a heap of gear was recovered.

Someone you know Jase?

Had to be a pretty specific thing to target your work car with this gear in it

its a core hole drill. Can bolt it to concrete walls and floors for accurate core holes for services. Nice and easy to use without having to hold a heavy drill. Worth every penny!

No one I know TJ and I doubt anyone in the trade would be so stupid as to steal it.

The machinery is indeed a core drilling rig used to core drill concrete. It has an automatic drill system deleting the need for the operator to manuall drive the rig into the material being cut.

I've my two larger machines coming end of the week :)
