Been offered a Celsior (LS400) for my hatchback but i know nothing about them or 1uz's

Would you swap it for a nice tidy Toyota Celsior (LS400) with 200km on it lowered with BBS alloys.

1UZ engine package with 105 on it and $$

Could make a quick/easy skid rig, can you get lockers for them? 1uz's don't mind skids? reliable?

Common motor for conversion to Supra and Hilux (1UZ is the V8) - I think anyway...? Would run one as a daily.

Seen them for sale from $4k to $7k - one was for sale not long ago on here?

Wouldn't get too excited about a celsior as a skid rig, They can't do one.

Unsure about the locker's. But why would you want a soggy whale with a locked diff?

1UZ's are a good motor and strong, but struggle in such a heavy car.

Celsior's are reliable only when driven like a nana, even then they are thirsty.

Push a celsior for a long period of time and you can kiss goodbye to the harmonic balancer and the gearbox

AFAIK they use a unique diff housing and never came with LSD so welding might be your only option

Regardless, they are heavy and high-geared for cruising so skids aint gonna happen unless you shove a blower on the UZ

They are a luxo-cruiser, they are not the car for thrashing about

They are pimp!

Electric everything, leather interior, sunroof, (I believe the top model has reclining rear seats), all the goodies! Dump it with some fat wheels and I'd take one.

Nobody needs a celsior, just like nobody needs herpes. But once you have it you'll never be able to get rid of it. Like herpes.

you could thrash the 1uzfe engine all day everyday, and it would still keep going hard.

Thirsty??? these are awesome on fuel for a v8! especially highway driving.

As for LSD, never came in the celsior/ls400 - They run an A series diff, I heard the best way is to use a lsd from a jza80 supra (a series aswell) which still needs a bit of work
