Good Morning,

Someone tried to steal my best friends VS Clubsport last night at around 2:00AM in Morley ( the good part ). When he went outside to investigate ( at the time he didnt know it was being stolen ) they chased him back into the house with weapons. Being 5'11' and 55-60kg he legged it back inside and said call the cops and myself. I drove over there and only just missed them as they took off without the car shortly before I arrived. The cops are coming over shortly with forensic officers as they left some of their personal belongings in the car whilst trying to steal it.

I just wanted the people on here to know that these werent your average "car thief" types that check a cars locked at a train station, these were proffesionals. They had the window out fo the car and inside and cranking over within 2-3minutes, needless to say this had a big dollar top notch alarm system in it which did nothing to hinder them.

Details of the people who tried to steal it are:

180cm solid build

They parked their own car up which was a "done up" XE-XF, Maroon, solid cam, big tempe wheels on it.

I know the chances of seeing them or the car again is slim but the main reason why im putting this up here is if you live around this sort of area to be carefull and make sure you car is secure because i would hate for another thread to "pop up" on here with the same description. And the fact it was a violent occurence I would hate to see anyone hurt due to a bunch of thugs that need to be taught a lesson.

Thanks,

Brayden.

Rocking up in a solid cammed car at 2am is retarded, what ever happened to stealth mode haha..

I chucked out some recycling on Wednesday morning and noticed the bin had it's lid cracked and indented where someone had probably climbed onto it and attempted to get themselves on the roof. The bin is near my bedroom window but I can't recall hearing and distinct noises. The dog was going berko the nights leading up to that however, so I wonder if they tried the back yard first and got a scare. No harm no foul though, everything is safe, but there are some scummy fucks walking around people's houses in the early hours these days..

Yeah Agreed Dan.

The main point i was getting at its that the people that tried to take the car knew it was there and knew how to get in to the garage. And yes rocking up with a fuck off loud caris a stupid idea, the fact that it was violent was stupid as well. I hope the get whats coming to them.

Similar thing happened to me, bin had been shifted, and lid was dented from someone standing on it trying to get onto my balcony. Get a job pingpingpingping!

Do you have a tile roof? Quietest way to get into a house is to lift some tiles and get in through the man hole in the ceiling. Tin roofs ftw.

Yeah that's a bit rough hey. I leave my bins exactly where they were, so I guess it's my fault for setting up an inviting situation, but whoever did it hasn't followed through, probably realised my $1000 LCD TV isn't worth it compared to some other people's balla setups :P

Fuckin oath tin roofs ftw.Why anyone would want tiles is beyond me! The house I rent is tiled roof, as is my investment property, just the nature of houses of that era. Both houses have alarm systems that you can activate from the master bedroom to alarm the whole house other than master/ensuite though.

Bin lids should have perforations in the lid - the moment there is some weight on it - they fall right through.

Yeah, but you can still stand on the sides. They're the strongest part anyway.

Have you ever heard tiles being walked on and moved/shifted during the dead silence of night time.. it's far from quiet...

Is this like if the bear farted in the woods and no-one heard it, did it happen?

I haven't heard it, and have lived in tiled roof houses, does this mean it IS quiet? :P

Yup, and it's a lot quieter than smashing a window

was woken years ago to the sounds of something walking on the tiles and the scraping of tiles (sounded like they were being moved). it was certainly not quiet (though i can't recall if we had insulation at that point).. Called the cops, who waited 15 mins before calling back to ask if we had gone to investigate and/or if the sounds where still happening. Being young and with the missus in the house i wasn't about to be a hero and go check.. hahaha cops finally showed, couldn't see anything and they said it was probably a cat..

maybe a Tiger sized cat to make that amount of noise....

anyway, csb over, just saying its not quiet for the people inside the house...

the cats in our neighbour hood get up on our roof and it can be quite loud! have watched them get up there when sitting watching tv ( can see them from the lounge window as there is a brick wall, angled, that they jump up onto and them climb onto the roof, it's also how we get up onto the roof ). it has woken me up during the night too.

Had that happen to me a few months ago. Some pretty loud footsteps at 2am in the morning on my patio and roof. Lasted about 10-15 mins. Didn't want to go out and check just in case. Luckily nothing happened. But it did sound a lot heavier than something like a cat.

sigh... if I knew someone with enough land to 'sign me off', i'd have a nice varmint rifle.

i 'think' the only way to get anything though without land or land owner, is to have a club store for you and you pay fees etc : /

Its in really good nick but stock ( they wanted to keep it original )

We think it might be written off, the insurers wont say anything at the moment but the damage inside is quite extensive.

Thanks Bud ;)

Thanks for the advice though, never knew that option existed... they don't make it simple : /

Did the solid cammed 393 falcon drop one as it took off ? The quality/duration of skid would of been the deciding factor to weather or not i rang the muppets in blue, the burnout is what would get them caught if the cops do anything ! hoons favour thiefs !!!
