Maybe, but it's all about perspective I think. When I went to his house for a test drive before I bought it, he took me for a drive first. FUUUUAAARRRK everything just went blurry and I was terrified, and that was without proper traction too. But I think eventually you just get used to the power and as always, you start wanting more. I'm keen to have this car scare the absolute shit out of me again haha.

Yea the HKS coilovers are still in there, they are next on the list. Not sure what I will go with next, possibly a good set of KW's.

Sooo, finally the engine is finished and it's back in my garage again! I got it back from Ovaboost the Thursday night before Racewars, so it was a mad rush to get it stickered, scrutineered, and have the ride height changed before Friday afternoon.
The engine ran flawlessly over the weekend, but unfortunately I had a clutch issue half way through the first day and had to call it quits for the rest of the weekend. The push/pull box on the side of the gearbox had come loose, so I couldn't engage or disengage the clutch properly.
Out of the 8 or so runs I did have on the Saturday, she pulled hard and I didn't lose a race. The new toyo r888's are a wicked tyre, and hooked up really well.

It is only running on 28psi at the moment, because the 2 bar MAP sensor is holding Mick back from boosting it higher. Currently at 28psi it makes 720rwhp at around 5500rpm, and redlines at 8750rpm. I'm hoping that once we put a new MAP sensor in she will go well over 800rwhp.

Hmmm yea they are a little distracting at night, but they can be turned down so that helps. They are an awesome set though, with peak recall and record mode on them which is really useful.

Saw it on the hoist getting the fuel lines done at Ovaboost when i was getting mine dyno'ed a couple of weeks back.

Took it back to Ovaboost yesterday, and I was the first customer on their new Dyno Dynamics setup.
The best run was 757rwhp at 34psi, making 711nm. I'm not sure if it was hooking up properly though, because there was rubber everywhere haha.

Torque is hp / rpm, the less responsive a car is, the less torque it will make for any given hp figure.
Still a weapon for highway runs.

I didn't end up getting a round around Barbs last week, due to BYE canceling the track day because of a lack of entries. I will have it down at Collie in August though, so hopefully I can meet a few more of you blokes down there. Cochee and I need to have a side by side run too, everytime we have tried recently something goes wrong with one of our cars!

Collie track day was awesome! The car spent a shitload of time on boost, revving to 9000 all the time and didn't miss a beat. I'm very happy with how it performed. The only downside was the dip at turn two, if I took that corner under throttle or at speed, the rear right guard just chewed the shit out of my tyre, so I had to take it very easy through that section. Looks like some better coilovers are definitely on the cards.

Well, it looks like the end of an era for the Supra and I. I have taken a deposit on it and if things go smoothly the new owner will pick it up in a few weeks.

I'm not sure how I feel about selling it, but I'm looking forward to jumping into something else. I have my eye on an e90 M3, so I may be picking one up pretty soon.

I'll take the supra for a good drive before it goes to the new owner, and will hopefully get some good gopro videos of the speedo, I have always wanted to see how fast it accelerates since winding the boost up on the new motor. Will post videos!!

Have just had a chat with the new owner on FB about Racewars. He's keen to bring it along and said he's keen to try and turn #002 in to #001. He's braver than I am that's for sure. So glad he's going to keep giving it hell.
