Hi, does the D-link 30 cm external antennae increase the range of the wireless signal over the standard Netgear wireless antennae that comes with the modem?

Im guessing it would, the only reason i put it on it, was because a mate got it for me for nothing. i never did back to back tests. Sorry if thats not helpful, but atleast im being honest
