Face book publishing your phone numbers

hey guys just a heads up FB is now publishing everyone's phone numbers.

if you want to remove it do the following:

ALL THE PHONE NUMBERS FROM YOUR PHONE ARE NOW ON FACEBOOK. Go to the top right of the screen, go to ACCOUNT, go to EDIT FRIENDS, left side click CONTACTS, you will see all you,re phone numbers (FB friends or not) are published that you have stored in your mobile phone. TO REMOVE, go to the right column, click on the words "this page," And then click "REMOVE" Please repost this on your status, so your friends can remove their numbers and thus prevent abuse if they do not want them published

Only your friends can see your number anyhow.

So if you are "friends" with people you dont actually know and as such you dont want them to have your number, then you are a fucking retard anyhow.

Change your face book name to what people may not have your name as in their phone and you should be fine.

Yes because Facebook magically accesses your phone like some sort of Skynet clone. Your number is only on FB if you added it to your profile yourself.

My facebook links with my phonebook, my contacts have their facebook photos on my phone.

But i can see what you are saying, facebook has had phone numbers for a long time and if you follow the steps above it doesn't have everyones phone numbers only those who have put them in.

I've been having a go at dickheads posting this on Facebook for the last few days.

I mean seriously.
If I sent you an email tomorrow telling you that the yellow pages is about to publish all your blood types and gene sequences without your concent, would you suddenly make threads about it and post all over facebook? Or would you do a little research and see if what you're being told isn't accurate??

It's like these 'omg they r gonna make me liek pay for facebooks now!' posts.

I have my Android phone book sync up with my facebook.

I have every single contact number on my phone, on my facebook.

Even ones like "Mechanic" etc.

Not just full names.


But no one else can see my contact list on fb, just me (except FB)

My phone book has my contacts, but when I go to call and I start punching in a number, random names from my facebook show up - only time it does it... nothing to be fussed about though. Just seems to link up. I put my number on my facebook though myself, as only my "friends" can see any info on my profile. I think anyway...
