I need a new boost gauge as mine isn't very accurate i don't htink and i want a nice accurate gauge. Are the DEFI gauges very accurate or would a good brand mechanical gauge be just as acurate?

Some mechanical gauges are okay, but most arent very accurate.

Get yourself a decent electronic gauge and you'll be better off. Defi's are very accurate.

Get one of these home-made boost controllers. They are raving about them all over the skyline forums: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73375. Some guy makes them himself, and they apparently work really well. I'm getting one myself (purchased off Ebay). Even if it doesn't work, it's only $30. Better than $110 or whatever a brand name one is. But judging from these comments, they are well worth every cent!

Most of the mechanical gauges are pretty accurate... to within a Psi in most cases... If you are running that close to the edge of detonation then you need to turn it down anyway...
